Custom Health Plans steered me to… Custom Health Plans steered me to Golden Rule Health insurance, which does not follow either federal guidelines for Affordable Health Insurance nor it's own rules concerning pre existing health conditions. Custom Health Plans agents may not be responsible directly for the insurance companies decisions but should understand that this is the nature of this insurance company and no longer recommend them or send customers to them. They have this responsibility. In you reply you indicated that the plan did not adhere to the affordable health care standards regarding preexisting conditions. I acknowledge that. The plan did state that a five year exclusion period in which any preexisting conditions where active was the standard. This is Golden Rules standard as both written and explained by you. When our doctor sought base line test concerning a preexisting conditions, causing expense to Golden Rule, they cancelled the policy due to the expense, not due to our following their rules. This is an unethical act where they did not follow their own rules. You should think again about working with such a company.
