About Kafene

Kafene provides a point-of-sale, lease-to-own (LTO) option that merchants can offer to their customers as an alternative to paying with cash or credit. Kafene purchases the merchandise from the merchant and rents it to the consumer. This option is particularly important to those who are credit-challenged and do not have a way to enjoy big-ticket, and necessary, items such as furniture, appliances, and other goods. Kafene operates nationally and complies with all other applicable laws and regulations. To us, delivering the best-in-class customer experience is paramount.

Great payment option if you aren’t an idiot Anyone who gives them a low star rating needs to read contracts before using money lending services. I needed tires. It was going to be $1200 I didn’t have to spend. I applied for Kafene. When you sign up it explains the payoff before 90 days and after 90 days. Every payment you make explains this. So I got it paid off before the 90 days and don’t owe anything else. If you are smart about it, it works.

Misinformed lease was done on 12/18/23 for 1,800.00. I made several payments and had a balance due of 200.00. I went online to pay today 3/20/24. I thought I may have a little more in interest. It says my payoff is 1717.07. I will never lease from them again. I will not be paying double. I spoke to a manager and was informed they went over the contract with me and that was true, however, they didn't tell me I would be paying so much in interest past 90 days. I was offered a deal if I paid 1052.00 by Monday it would be settled. They said if I was 1 day late they could assist. I was truly misinformed and the details of the contract were not explained in full detail. Kafene is truly ripping people off. I will contact the BBB and the attorney general. This will affect my credit. I am so upset I didn't make the payment Monday.

They need to be put out of business... I was in a life threatening car accident and my 90 day grace period passed by 1 week due to a hospital stay. All payments had been made but the customer service representative I spoke with said I knew I had an obligation and should have prepared. I was floored lol, so I told her I wish I could have called the person that ran the red light and hit me so they would have stopped. I have filed a complaint with the attorney general, the BBB and the CFPB I recommend y'all do the same. Its time to get rid of the predatory lenders. My pay off was $700 but now they want $2100, no mam we aren't getting scammed like this. I have forwarded all of my documents to an attorney to file suit. Enough is Enough I wish I could give them negative stars.

I would like to leave no stars but it’s… I would like to leave no stars but it’s not possible. This company cares nothing for its consumers. I am 2 days behind the 90 day period and they will not work with me within these circumstances. They say if I have called the office on a day that their office was closed then they would be able to help. I would never recommend anyone use this company. I will pay the balance due on my merchandise and not another penny ! Completely unethical and unreasonable I feel as if I’m being robbed ! They want me to pay $3411 to finance $2400. Almost $6,000 completely unreasonable
