Land-a-Deal? or a Nightmare? This "Florida Corporation" and I put that in quotes because it is an entity in name only. The Florida Dept of Corporations shows a Post Office Box or Virtual Post Office box. The "Corporation" is involved in unimproved land sales in Florida. They have created the "appearance" that they are a local to Florida entity when I attempted to buy land and began research, I could not find them, only a shell of Virtual Mail Boxes. The owner appears to be Sven Storring but I'm not certain. I asked him for a copy of a Florida Drivers License and he said then he was located in Germany. He never gave me any identification. That is why he never replied to my requests to meet him at his "advertised" Jacksonville, Florida "office" or his main location in St Pete, Florida. Both are virtual only. The example contracts he gave me to review are not normal to the industry and can pose a serious risk to the buyer (In my opinion). I urge any potential buyers have the documents reviewed by a real estate attorney before attempting to complete any transaction. I have read many reports that state that fraud is running rampant in Land Sales in Florida and a seller from out of the country and using virtual mailboxes should make you look deeper and question what happens if you pay on these contracts for years and the PO Boxes are closed? Poof, you can't find anyone that can help you, so your money is gone. These of course are my observations from my research and I'm not buying any land from Sven (or whoever he really is) or Land-A-Deal, Inc. Just remember that legitimate corporations don't want to hide. They want you to know all about them and transparency is the key to their success. Be careful
