Really helped my girl with autism My daughter has autism, and we had been working on reading for a awhile now. She was able to somewhat sound out words, but we were having trouble getting her to put words together to form a sentence. It was like each word was a stand alone word. When we started hooked on phonics, it is like something clicked. The sentences are starting to flow, and she is starting to comprehend what she is reading. We definitely recommend Hooked on Phonics!

We have been using this program for… We have been using this program for several months and unfortunately there has not been any change. My daughter is still struggling just as much as she was when we began. If your child has even a little bit of a struggle with phonics I don't believe I would recommend this program.

This program doesn’t engage my 4 yr old… This program doesn’t engage my 4 yr old nearly enough- and to be honest, it confuses him when he has to match sounds to a certain box when the animals indicated on those boxes DONT have the same sounds as the letters. I feel this could be improved!!

Making reading fun Each page in a book, and consequently each new book, progresses my daughter’s learning at the ideal rate. She is loving to read, thanks to these colorful stories. The star stickers are a great addition, in that she rewards herself after completion of every few pages. Thanks Hooked on Phonics for making reading fun!

Beware the "Easy Cancellation". Beware the "Easy Cancellation". I just received the program this week and discovered I will not be tutoring my nephew after all. I have been completely unable to cancel through the company. They don't offer cancellation as an option, so you have to go to Customer help. Then you have to deal with the bots where you're offered a menu of articles you can read. When you indicate you want to interact (not "speak") with an agent in online chat they say they will EMAIL me when an agent is available & online. LOLOLOLOL! Thank goodness I signed up through Paypal where I can manage my autopays without Hooked on Phonics' interaction because it is clear they will try to delay or avoid any cancellation.
