Purchased 2015 Subaru in 5/2021 and in… Purchased 2015 Subaru in 5/2021 and in June (one month later) the check engine light came on. Called the dealer (Salton motors in Alpharetta, GA) and they advised the SureSale inspector Eric Sherrod inspected the car with 170 point inspection. Reviewed the provided report on the car and everything showed in good working order with no error codes on the computer. Went to AutoZone to have them check the check engine code - showed P0300 - Random - Multiple Misfire Detected - Called the Dealer back and they recommended the Subaru Dealer (Subaru of Kennesaw). Took my car to them and explained we had a SureSale 5mth warranty and they would work with them to get our car fixed. Took 2 to 3 weeks to get the adjuster from SureSale to communicate with the Service Rep (Lucy)... The warranty has some exclusions on the policy, like pre-existing issues, but ours was not. We had no check engine light at purchase, then month later we do. Also the 170 point inspection said all shocks/struts, alternator, AC, belts and all bushings were in good standing. THEY WERE WRONG... the dealership found over $5500 worth of issues (bad AC Compressor, Spark Plugs, Spark Plug Wires, All Bushings, All Struts, AC/Alternator belt, Alternator, light bulbs in all lights (exterior), fluids never changed and many more items...) that should have been found in this "inspection" that was completed on this car to give it the "Certified SureSale Warranty". The adjuster for SureSale denied all the items?!?!? I cannot understand how they make this decision, as the issues were to be in good standing (per their report) and after inspection by the dealer they are serious issues. Confirmed with local dealer (Salton Motors) they do not inspect the cars - only SureSale does. Called SureSale and spoke to Richard (supervisor, refused to provide his last name) and he stated that the dealer has to complete the inspection and that SureSale doesn't inspect the cars - HOW CAN THEY GIVE A WARRANTY IF NO ONE IS DOING AN ACTUAL INSPECTION?!?!? Someone is lying and my gut is telling me its SureSale! Now I am out $5,500 for items that should have been corrected/fixed before it was given this warranty and false since of security that we would be taken care of. SureSale is one of the most deceptive, deceitful, sneaky, misleading, unreliable, scheming, phony and fraudulent companies I have ever dealt with. They don't want to help you and not sure how they ever would. This was the worst experience and I would NEVER recommend this TERRIBLE company!!

Certification and warranty not worth the paper they are printed on UPDATE: I changed my rating from 1 star to 3 because SureSale did end up doing what was right and completely covered our warranty claim after receiving my initial review below. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We are completely disgusted with SureSale. We bought our used car in good faith based on the SureSale Certification, and the comprehensive warranty was a big selling point. We received a copy of the SureSale report, which included the 170-Point Inspection List. This list showed 'No Issues Found' for any of the components inspected. After driving the car for a couple of days, we experienced some issues and attempted to file a claim. SureSale rejected the claim stating that the issues were pre-existing. When I asked the supervisor I spoke to how the issues could be pre-existing when both of the components that required repair were checked off on the SureSale 170-point inspection list as having no issues just *10 days* before we bought the car, his response was that whoever did the inspection was wrong. Apparently SureSale doesn't do the actual inspections, the dealer does. So essentially, SureSale 'certifies' cars based on inspections they don't do themselves, and refuse to honor, making the 'certification' and warranty pretty much worthless. Too bad they didn't put half the effort into the pre-sale inspection as they did when they were attempting to avoid paying a claim. What a sham!

Possibility for repaired under SureSale warranty. I had two EXPENSIVE repaires to my brand new car..new to me.. and, NO SureSale certified mechanics ANYWHERE near me. My car was under a 5 month warranty that I could not utilize.
