GBCertification and warranty not worth the paper they are printed on UPDATE: I changed my rating from 1 star to 3 because SureSale did end up doing what was right and completely covered our warranty claim after receiving my initial review below. ORIGINAL REVIEW: We are completely disgusted with SureSale. We bought our used car in good faith based on the SureSale Certification, and the comprehensive warranty was a big selling point. We received a copy of the SureSale report, which included the 170-Point Inspection List. This list showed 'No Issues Found' for any of the components inspected. After driving the car for a couple of days, we experienced some issues and attempted to file a claim. SureSale rejected the claim stating that the issues were pre-existing. When I asked the supervisor I spoke to how the issues could be pre-existing when both of the components that required repair were checked off on the SureSale 170-point inspection list as having no issues just *10 days* before we bought the car, his response was that whoever did the inspection was wrong. Apparently SureSale doesn't do the actual inspections, the dealer does. So essentially, SureSale 'certifies' cars based on inspections they don't do themselves, and refuse to honor, making the 'certification' and warranty pretty much worthless. Too bad they didn't put half the effort into the pre-sale inspection as they did when they were attempting to avoid paying a claim. What a sham!
