Flooded with unwanted calls I filled out a form with Modernize to find a contractor with specific skills. I didn't give permission to be contacted by any company other than who I specified, but within an hour, I received calls from over 10 companies. Based on this experience, be careful in working with Modernize. Whether you ask for them or not, you may get a flurry of calls from companies who aren't able to meet your needs.

A much better perspective How enlightening! We have been considering a shower replacement for some time, but became discouraged with the high estimate we received from a contractor. This website gave us a better perspective on the range of both prices and options available in our area. We loved the choice of options from low range/basic remodel to the more high end/elaborate details if so desired. We also liked being able to access local contractors through the website. We are looking forward to planning our new bathroom in the future.

A cost review is useless A cost review is advertised for American Standard AC units. Having put in the desired unit size,etc the program provided an estimate from lowest to highest cost Useless!

Estimates are crap. Looking to replace a shower/tub combo. Estimates provided by modernize for the highest range topped at 6.8k. Amazingly, all of the contractors that contacted me through modernize basically laughed at that price at wanted at least double, for a BASIC shower/tub replacement. What a waste of time and now I have contractors calling me non-stop for business that I can’t afford.
