I would recommend this board to 99% of the people out there, especially beginners. But if you plan on working up to going longer distances, get the x4s (Extended Range) version.

Newbie Boarder review I have never ridden a skateboard or longboard before and took a fall yesterday. Beginners can use it as a push board to start and learn. Taking slower speeds after getting the basics. That said, you have to make sure you know your gear in hence the fall mentioned earlier. Beginners can use this just fine if common sense is used. Please, if you are getting this as a new rider, take it slow, get protective gear, and watch some riding videos. The board is great. Make sure you learn before jumping on it.
