Working with Julie to hit 70mi.. Working with Julie to hit 70mi... it was AWESOME. Julie was great. I had done a couple 32mi ultras here and there but this was another step up and she nailed my training, really helped with nutrition, and was always positive and motivating.

Coach Brandon 10/10 I can not recommend Run Your Personal Best enough! I've been working with Coach Brandon for over 2 years. He has coached me to PR in every distance from the 5k to the marathon. Since working with Brandon, I've shaved over 15 minutes off my marathon time, from 3:40 to 3:24, qualified for the Boston Marathon & ran a personal best at Boston. Brandon genuinely cares about his clients and their success. He is knowledgeable, personable, and motivational - he is relentlessly supportive. Best coaching experience! Cory is a no non-sense coach. He gives structured workouts detailed to the athlete's goals. He gave workout plans to both me and my partner tailored to our specific running styles. He has a keen sense of how to coach the individual, rather than applying the same regimen for every runner. This makes him a good choice for all levels, from beginner to elite. And to boot, he is really genuine person -- always patient and willing to answer questions!

Working with Julie Tertin as my… Working with Julie (Tertin) Sandquist as my ultra-running coach was an outstanding experience. As a new entrant to ultra-running, her motivational pep talks and strategic guidance were instrumental in helping me complete my first 50-mile runs. Julie has a responsive and adaptive coaching style that addressed my unending list of questions, ranging from shoe selection and dietary adjustments, stretching, cross-training, chaffing and even specific race selection. Her approach focuses not on a single race but on a strong recovery phase leading to long-term race habits. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking to conquer their ultra-running fears and challenges.

Coach Brandon Birdsong Brandon Birdsong has been my coach for about 2.5 years now and I can’t recommend him enough. I have to say one of the things that I really love is the fact that he takes every single athlete’s goals seriously. I’m not elite or even in the competitive arena but he has always pushed me just the same and cheered me on as if I were about to make the Olympic team. He is always approachable, so incredibly down to earth and one of the most genuinely kind human beings I’ve ever met. Don’t let that fool you though, he’ll still kick your butt and whip you into shape. I can’t even describe all of the ways I’ve improved as a runner and all around athlete since we started working together. He knows his stuff and has a unique ability to tailor training to each individual client and meet you where you are as an athlete whether you’re just beginning or ready to win.
