USWe had a wonderful time We had a wonderful time, we staying in the upstairs room that has the bay window. The sharp shooters used it during the war. We did the ghost tour which was super fun and left right from the front yard. We also had the wonderful breakfast one morning. All in all we would highly recommend and stay there again when we visit again.

USBeautiful 19th century lodgings right in the heart of Gettysburg We stayed two nights at the Brickhouse Inn. We had the Georgia room in the Welty house, and it was GORGEOUS. We rolled in just before 6 pm after a very long day of traffic jams, and we were greeted immediately by Sam, one of the innkeepers, who showed us to our room and showed us all the ins and outs. We unfortunately were far too tired and hot to make the 6 pm champagne toast with the staff and other guests, but the offer was made right away! The room we had was beautifully updated while maintaining the charm of the original building. The balcony off the back was WONDERFUL for morning coffee and an evening glass of wine. The rocking chairs were comfy and the backyard is a lovely view. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well stocked. The location is PERFECT. It was only a couple of blocks up from Cemetery Ridge and the Jennie Wade House. Lots of options for eating in the close area, and only maybe a 1/2 mile from what I assume is the center of town. We highly recommend a stay here!
