Completely rude and unhelpful. i asked ONE question when renting a big expensive house, if there was a hot tub. she said yes. then an hour before our arrival she let us know that it's not working due to the weather. I brought in my own mechanic who said that there are a lot of things broken and it couldnt happen in one day from bad weather. they we're so rude about. didn't let us switch or fix it. she told me that she would compensate $75 for the hot tub fee. then afterwards pretended like she didn't know what I was talking about.

GBLacks Customer Service Skills During my recent stay at one of their properties in Big Bear, I found its location undeniably advantageous, offering convenient access to nearby access to the village, lake, and breathtaking views. This, however, was a highlight of an otherwise challenging experience. Regrettably, the property itself seemed in need of significant attention and maintenance. Several essential amenities, including the dishwasher, ice maker/leaking fridge, trash compactor, gas range (only 2 of 5 ranges worked), fireplace in the upper unit not functioning (requiring wood supplied by maintenance), and heater, were not functioning properly during my stay. Additionally, there was a continuous issue with the running toilet, which added to the discomfort. What compounded these inconveniences was the level of customer service encountered. The response to our concerns, particularly from the front desk, lacked the empathy and professionalism one would expect. The staff's approach felt dismissive, which did not align with the hospitality standards that ensure a welcoming and comfortable stay for guests. While I recognize the potential of lakefront property due to its stellar location, my experience underscores a pressing need for property maintenance and customer service improvements. A more proactive and guest-focused approach could enhance the overall experience, making it a place where guests appreciate the location and feel valued and well-cared for. The rating is mainly due to poor customer service. FYI - do expect a quick response from Big Bear office. I contacted the main number and only sent me to voice mail.

GBAmazing home, great experience! Booking was a breeze, customer service was amazing, price was incredible, and the home I stayed in was clean and beautiful. I’ll never book my vacation home with any company. Kudos Meredith Lodging! They’re also local which was incredibly helpful during check in when we got lost due to google maps leading us astray.

GBMeredith Lodging has made my family’s… Meredith Lodging has made my family’s life a living hell. Long story short they cancelled our reservation in May within 10 days of our arrival because of the Coronavirus (understandable) and now has given us 2 options. Option 1, fork up another whopping $2,000 to stay in the same beach house in the summer because of different rates. Or Option 2, don’t pay an extra $2,000 for the house and lose out on the $2,000 we already paid for, because no refunds within 30 days of arrival. We didn’t cancel, they did. Doesn’t seem legal.

GBBeen staying at By George for over… Been staying at By George for over seven years now. Never a bad experience, great customer service from Meredith. Staff is cheery and helpful.the house is older and well priced… could use a little updating, having said that… can’t beat the price or the million dollar view..
