GBIt was fine.. It was fine... the people sharing the house with my husband and I were looking for a cheaper option... You definitely get what you pay for. The house needs some updating. If you're looking for a spectacular house, this isn't it, but it was totally fine. ie: The bulbs in the bathrooms get so hot that its hard to stand in the bathroom and curl my hair/put on my makeup. The dishwasher didn't really get the dishes clean. The shower was a little gross. Our biggest complaint is that the cable didn't work. Yes, we were at the beach, so we shouldn't need it. But we like to gather at night and watch tv. (especially because it was unusually cold weather)

GBThe Pond House Check in was quick and easy. The house was dirty, the curtains were hanging off the wall, sheets were stained in one bedroom and the appeared to be some sort of electrical issue with the outlets on 1 wall. The rental agency was quick to address the curtain and had a cleaning company to reclean within a couple days. I notified them of the electrical issue upon check out as it wasn’t affecting our stay. The elevator was nice for carrying grocery’s. The outside seating is cheap and flimsy. Several in our group complained that the pillows were flat. The kitchen was stocked well and there were plenty of towels in the bathrooms for our large group. The beach was very close and it was easy to carry chairs and beach stuff back and forth, there were a few chairs and boogie boards by the outdoor shower. The grill is charcoal. We will look for a different house next time we stay in Folly.

GBThe house was a complete wreck The house was a complete wreck. None of the outside lights worked, we found dirty clothes under the couch and bed. The drywall was cracked in the master bedroom. All of the ac vents had rust and constantly leaked water. The toilets all ran, and we had to manually fix them with every use. The grass in the yard was not cut, and dog feces were throughout the yard when we arrived.

GBSkip Pride & Joy As lovely as the home's decor was. The home seemed very dirty and unkept. In the bathroom's shower curtains were moldy, shower rods were rusted. One of the bathroom windows was broken. Several of the walls seemed soft or moldy and had been painted over. Every morning we had to sweep dead roaches out from under beds, and off other floor areas. The AC struggled to hold at 76 degrees and on several of the warmer days did not hold even late into the night. The bed sheets and quilts were very dirty looking and looked moldy and or very stained. everything was very dusty inside the home, and I found a pill on the floor from a previous guest also covered in dust. The curtains in the bedrooms and bathrooms would not close without the whole curtain rod being pulled off the wall. The curtains do not block any light whatsoever... so if you have children expect to wake up as soon as the sun rises. Skip Pride & Joy

GBMy mother and I rented this home for… My mother and I rented this home for Spring Break. Although the home was beautiful, the cleanliness not so much. The day we checked in and went to go to bed that night, we discovered a raised brown stain (looked like feces) on the master bedroom sheets as well has hair all over pillow area of sheets. I did call the after hours # and they did suggest I look for spares in the closets, which I did find ones for the 2 other bedrooms but not the master. There was only a spread in master closet. She did offer to drive from 15 mins away but I decided to sleep in one of the twin beds because it was late and we had driven the whole day, until the following day. I did ask them to please replace all bedding on that bed the next day, but they only replaced the sheets and the put the spread that was on top of the feces looking sheets back on top of the clean sheets. Not one time did the rental office call to see if we needed anything or if everyone was taken care of. Their reply (Becca) was, we figured you would call us if something was not satisfactory. When I am paying $2400 for a 4 night stay, first of all I don't plan to see feces on the sheets and the head part of bed covered in hair......so at check out we brought this up again only to be told we would have to wait till the manager was back in the office and they would contact us......5 days have passed without so much of a call. They said they are very doubtful that what we saw on the sheets were feces and that there were plenty of sheets in unit for me to have put clean ones on myself. Finally, after reaching out again today, they are offering our cleaning fee back. I wanted to laugh, not only were they calling us a liar that what we seen on sheets was not feces.....regardless of what it was......I should not be changing stained sheets or waiting for someone to come and do, for a home that averaged to $600 a night with all fees. The customer service is laughable we found with Charleston Coasts Vacations/Dune Properties. We have rented several units from them over the years but after the unprofessionalism they showed this was out last!!! If you have never rented from them before they want you to strip the beds and put linens at the door when you check out as well as empty all garbage and take to road and run dishwasher.....what is the cleaning fee we paid at reservation for?.....the maids to leave the sheets on bed from the previous renter?.....never again. My profile pic is not feces according to Charleston Coast Vacations.
