Unit 324 in COV Our unit #324 in COV was not clean or well kept. Several lights burnt out, dryer didn't work, freezer door was open when we arrived, sliding door in master bedroom had a broken lock, no lock on sliding door in living room, toilet dirty in one bathroom and toilet paper holders in 2 bathrooms were loose and falling off the wall. This was the 4th year we rented a unit at COV and it was one of the worst units we have used. Paid a premium price for a mediocre unit. The location is great.

the house was NOT clean and was not… the house was NOT clean and was not maintained very well. 1. floors and table tops were sticky and dusty 2. sliders and windows were smudgey 3. not enough towels and hand towels 4 multiple lights were burned out, especially in the toilet, where you had to go in complete darkness 5. the screened in porch did not work, many bugs were biting our guests 6. the tv's in some bedrooms did not work - no connection to cable 7. the wifi was weak and the comcast router kept resetting itself, many channels would not work because of loose wiring of the cable system to the TV 8. the quality of bedding was just economy - not high end 9. all utensils were low-end, all knives were dull, only one tiny cutting board, no platters for serving, only one sponge, just a utility kitchen all around For $1100 a night, this property left much to be desired and was a disappointment. The house itself and location was very nice, but whoever is managing it is showing a complete lack of care and attention to detail. We would consider renting there again next year, but not with the same level of cleanliness and detail.

Skip Pride & Joy As lovely as the home's decor was. The home seemed very dirty and unkept. In the bathroom's shower curtains were moldy, shower rods were rusted. One of the bathroom windows was broken. Several of the walls seemed soft or moldy and had been painted over. Every morning we had to sweep dead roaches out from under beds, and off other floor areas. The AC struggled to hold at 76 degrees and on several of the warmer days did not hold even late into the night. The bed sheets and quilts were very dirty looking and looked moldy and or very stained. everything was very dusty inside the home, and I found a pill on the floor from a previous guest also covered in dust. The curtains in the bedrooms and bathrooms would not close without the whole curtain rod being pulled off the wall. The curtains do not block any light whatsoever... so if you have children expect to wake up as soon as the sun rises. Skip Pride & Joy

We where unable to get into our room… We where unable to get into our room early which was ok, we where staying inside Wild Dunes. We where not even allowed to go inside and go to the beach until our property was ready, which we have done ever year that we have rented thru a a different company. All rentals are Saturday-Saturday, somehow they gave away Friday night to the people arriving the following week! I also called for an hour late check do to a very bad storm happening at the time and it was down pouring, which they allowed but after we checked out they where texting us asking us to please check out and they where coming to the property to make sure we where gone! I guess I thought that was rude and they where not any better informed that we already checked out and they had the keys to the property! Probably will never rent thru them again!

Dissatisfied My family stayed in COB unit 322 the week of 10/6/18. Four of the eight patio chairs were not useable. The toilets in both master bedrooms were filthy. The metal bed in the master bedroom was not secured. Someone had attempted to repair with super glue! Fortunately, my son-in-law had tools and repaired it. Otherwise, it would have collapsed and could have caused serious injury. Lastly, the glass-top table on the patio was not secured and it almost fell on my 11 year old granddaughter. It is a very heavy top and could have resulted in a serious injury or death had we not caught it. We have stayed at COB for the last 15 years and never had such terrible conditions. We will not consider this unit again, nor recommend it to others. Also, as property managers, there is an expectation that you ensure that the rental units are in safe condition. This certainly had a negative impact on our family vacation.
