When you prepared this years tour for us it was even easier than before ( which was pretty darn easy) When you prepared a tour for us for 2019 we had the trip of a lifetime! Or so we thought. Hard to imagine that this trip this February was even better! Everything was coordinated seamlessly and the resorts and our guides were second to none.

Karen and her team help guide you through the decision process with an overview of the African continent and the types of wildlife one can expect to encounter in each country, as well as the various lodging options and level of service and pricing. After you have booked, the team helps you prepare for your trip with visa and flight assistance, and lots of detailed information on what you will need to bring - and to answer any questions you might have -no matter how many times you ask. It's when that big day finally arrives, that you find out that this company really knows how to deliver an exceptional experience. We were met at the airport by in-country staff and our guides (for our large group of 11, we had 2 guides). Everyone in our group was so impressed with their knowledge and experience, showing and teaching us about Africa, sussing out those animals who didn't want to be seen, and making each day special. Tears were shed when it came time to say good-bye and head home. And no worries, the office staff (in-country and back in the US) are available should problems arise during your trip. We had one very small misunderstanding when we checked in at one lodge on a Saturday night local time, but a text/email to Karen and everything was sorted within the hour from 9 time zones away on a weekend! If we get another chance to go to Africa, we will certainly be calling Deeper Africa once again. Thank you Karen - one and all!

Kenya - Great trip, but difficult to set up It was difficult to speak with a knowledgeable person when setting up the trip. The person who answered the phone could rarely answer our questions. Also, we did not think that having the same guide drive us around for two weeks optimized our experience. We missed out on having the diversity of guide expertise that we would have had by using the guides at each camp.

Fabulous experience Fabulous experience. We were guided along each airport experience with help to get thru customs and find our way, we were able to speak with Karen when united airlines strangely canceled my husband’s flight to go home!!!!! Deeper Africa also prepared us for any Covid issues and found us hotels and Bid Air to transfer us to hotels. This is our third trip with Deeper Africa which should in itself say alot

They were proactive and followed through on all commitments. Staff were knowledgeable and responsive. And, there were added value benefits like gifts and even a personalized lunch meeting to prepare us for the trip.
