Amazing experience with an exceptional Poseidon team. Every member of the Poseidon team from the expedition team to the hospitality and room staff were absolutely exceptional. The on shore experiences were frequent and so interactive and amazing. The team worked overtime behind the scenes to make sure we had several amazing experiences every single day. The lectures on board were incredibly informative. The food was 5 star as was the service. We could not find a single fault with this amazing trip with its excellent crew.

Can I give 6 stars? Can I give 6 stars? I was truly amazed by our Antarctic experience with Poseidon. The team strove to make the Sea Spirit a home away from home, and it felt like it. Everything was so well organized, the cruise program was fantastic and stimulating, the landings let us see so much wildlife and I certainly felt in safe hands with the updates on travel plans and weather conditions. The food deserves a particular mention for its excellence, as does the entire crew on board. An excellent adventure!

It was an absolutely spectacular trip It was an absolutely spectacular trip. I love the size of the ship, expedition team was informative and friendly. All ship staff was helpful. This was better than I could have imagined. We saw plenty of penguins, whales, and seals. The glaciers were out of this world, and I have endless photos of beautiful scenery. This was a much needed trip for my mental health and spirit, I feel like a bit of myself came back because of Antarctica. 10/10 recommend.

ANTARCTICA JANUARY 2023 Like others I too was very disappointed that we did not get to our planned destination and would like to make two points: 1. I recall a meeting at which an alternative was discussed, cancel the polar plunge and meet our goal. A show of hands indicated the plungers were a small minority but the expedition leader said the planned plunge would not be cancelled. I understand only 20 people actually went on the plunge. Why didn’t the majority count? 2. On another expedition cruise we have taken I felt that land treks were better handled. Details of the trek conditions and distance were made very clear, and alternative shorter walks were also offered. Trek maps were even included. I am not saying this would have prevented this accident, but at least it recognized that less fit people should have a choice. It would be nice to complete the journey another time but for us it won’t be with Poseidon.

Our almost 3 week trip to Antarctica… Our almost 3 week trip to Antarctica aboard the Sea Spirit was beyond our expectations. Every staff member we ran into (crew, expedition, hotel and kitchen) were kind and gracious. The lectures were all informative and thoughtful. The landings were amazing. The food was superb. The accommodations were great. It was an expedition trip and you had to roll with what was possible that day and what wasn't. Not a problem at all for us. We've traveled around the world quite a bit and this was the most memorable trip we've taken.
