DO NOT go on this cruise line!! DO NOT go on this cruise line!!! I went in December. Antarctica is amazing but this ship, the crew, and the food are awful. The ship is old and the movies (there is a lot of down time during the Drake Passage) we from the 80's on little little televisions. They don't have any food to snack on throughout the day except a short "tea time" and the snacks are lacking. Their overall food is buffet style and in general poor quality. No activities, not much to do and all the presentations were of poor quality, dull, and just no one seemed to care much.

We had a wonderful time seeing the timeless beauty of Antarctica and the incredible animals which inhabit it. The guides were very knowledgeable and excited to share it with us. The crew members were all very friendly and accommodating. The onboard restaurant was awesome. There was a large variety of expertly prepared food choices served by an amazing wait staff. The Sea Spirit was clean, modern and comfortable. The whole package was well worth the money spent.

LOVED EVERYTHING!! Best vacation so far!! Loved everything, especially highly professional team, that organised the whole trip super safe and on a highest level, the crew that does the cleaning and provides the food literally 24/7, the expedition team was super and the program, lectures, communication - everything couldn’t be better. I miss the cruise! And the best part of course the wild nature, animals. It’s a pity there are strict rules nowadays due to the flu and we couldn’t get closer, but it’s the right thing to protect the nature. Will be back for sure!

All aspects of this trip were… All aspects of this trip were phenomenal! Everyone was constantly on their A-Game and we had a great crew and staff. Expedition team members were fun and knowledgeable while taking care of us and making sure we were safe. We saw incredible things and had an amazing time. I cannot recommend them enough. We look forward to returning for another expedition soon!

This was our third trip on Poseidon This was our third trip on Poseidon. What we like best is the small ship (i.e., fewer passengers that you then get to know better) and the fantastic crew. We also prioritize Poseidon because of the great excursions, usually two per day, out on the zodiacs or on land. Their subject-matter experts are great, covering both natural and human history.
