Excellent service Excellent service, guides, food. Our timing was not good, because of inauguration of the president and anniversary of the end of the II World war. Huge crowds, lineups and Kremlin was closed. This was the only negative aspect I can report. I think that itinerary should be modified when there are historic celebrations in the visiting country.

"Lev Tolstoy' is surely the best to sail the Volga from Moscow to St Petersburg. It has comfortable cabin space, cleanliness, onboard entertainment & wonderful cuisine. A great experience. Everything was exactly as the promised Everything was exactly as the promised. Pre departure paperwork and Visa was a breeze. Both guides were excellent; friendly and knew their stuff. No queueing up at entrances. The Hotels were very comfortable and food was good. I would urge anyone thinking of ticking Russia off their bucket list to use Firebird travel.
