GBI.E. = Q.E. (Quality Expeditions) We have used I.E. for multiple trips. Our experience is that they are a first class company that provides very nice accommodations (but not outrageously expensive ones) and fantastic in-country guides. They do not cut corners like some of their competitors will do. We have closely compared their offerings to ones of cheaper trips to the same place and there's always an obvious reason for the lesser cost companies - less activity/tours during the days, less quality with respect to the guides, seeing fewer unique things in a particular place, etc. If I.E. offers a trip where we want to go, we will always choose them without wondering if we "could do better". We know that we cannot do better with respect to quality and activity.

GBAmazing ten days in the land of wild creatures The safari lodges were beautiful. The drivers who took us from Aboselli through the Serengeti were outstanding: very knowledgeable, great people, experts on the animals, birds and plants. The 747 KLM plane from Amsterdam to Nirobi was a nightmare of crowding. Much happier with the plane that brought us back. The game drives were very long, very uncomfortable due to the condition of the dirt roads. More short hops on small planes between parks would have been much better.

GBI have traveled with IE to Peru and… I have traveled with IE to Peru and Botswana and each trip was fantastic. The group leaders, staff, and everyone from the start was courteous and very knowledgeable about the county. Of course the destinations were fantastic, but the attention to detail that made every aspect of the trip special was such an added bonus. I am already planning another trip with them and would totally enjoy taking the trips I had again. Totally recommend for all ages and ability levels

GBThe tour of the Galápagos Islands was… The tour of the Galápagos Islands was wonderful. ...everything I hoped for. I am 80 years old, with asthma, so I managed what I could of the trip. Riding around in a Panga as great, and I saw lots of scenery and sea birds. The treks across lava fields was interesting, but too long for me.....I found a 3 hour + hike, up hill and down dale at the very limit of what I could physically handle. I did not try the snorkeling or swimming, as I have asthma and the water was quite cold. The shore walks were fine and interesting. The treks through land areas were fun, seeing iguanas and various birds that Darwin studied. Turtle island was terrific, with all the Galápagos turtles walking around. The boat was lovely, accommodations great, food excellent, guides excellent and informative, evening lectures/movies were educational. The fellow travelers were attentive, interested, on time, cooperative, genial.

GBIE Amazon River trip was wonderful IE Amazon River trip was wonderful! Amazing Staff and breathtaking nature. The Naturalists were great they really seemed to enjoy spending time with us and they were great at pointing out nature and illustrating with personal anecdotes and stories. I am not one to count how many birds I see but their enthusiasm spilled over and I became a birder! Love the monkeys, sloths and pink dolphins we saw frequently! The staff on board was kind and and attentive the concerts at night were a highlight. I loved the passion and graciousness of all the staff.
