USSantana Adventures, cycling for independent minds. Santana Adventures offers unique cycling cruises with great cruise lines and cycling routes that offer a variety of terrain and distance each day. Cyclists have plenty of independence for each ride as to speed and stops along the way. One or more interesting and/or historical venues are also featured on every ride.

USOur latest trip with Santana from Barcelona to Lisbon Our latest trip with Santana from Barcelona to Lisbon was fantastic. The rides were ones we would have never put together on our own and each day was laced with magical moments whether it be breathtaking vistas, historical awe or cultural learning. The ship was world class - including our brilliant chef, and it was (as always) a great time to meet new friends and hang with old. If you have never done a trip with Santana, please know that this is tour created for avid cyclists and not an adventure vacation where you have a chance to go on bike rides. These trips require realistic expectations, a good attitude and a willingness to go with the flow. We have done more than 10 now, and have never regretted a single one.

USWe loved the Japan trip! We went on the second Japan trip (Kobe to Tokyo - roughly the same routing as the first Tokyo to Kobe trip but in reverse order), and our experience was great. Excellent routes with safe roads, gorgeous countryside, and fun things to see. Mikey, who you can see on Cycle Japan on PBS, created fantastic routes and gave entertaining route talks. With the high quality pavement on back roads with small cars slowly driven by people who are careful about cyclists, Japan is a great place to cycle tour.

USOne and done with Santana It’s hard to even give it a 1 star. This trip was the 3 D’s Disorganized Dangerous Disappointing Bill didn’t have the routes ready until an hour before the ride. His chicken scratch maps would make a 4 year old laugh, and he had nothing planned at any rest stops. If we did stop at a restaurant, they would run out of food by the time the later riders arrived. The routes took us on busy roads which were quite dangerous. All and all a very disappointing experience. I have done 15 Backroads trips and I will never waiver now that I have tried Santana Adventures. One and done!!

US2022 Aus/Taz trip Aus/Taz was a great trip, but after doing 11-12 Santana trips now my wife & I do not enjoy the larger ship experience. We feel like the need of larger ports there is too much time spent standing in lines, tenders off ships, & rides that have to incorporate the city/wharf part of the rides. With that said Windstar was a wonderful service ship—the crew was unbelievable. We also realize being a 1st time trip all the “on the fly” changes that were needed and how you best serve us as travelers.
