Alaska Freewheel Initial liaison with Explore Tours was perfect. The girls understood our needs & took our ideas into consideration AND planned a wonderful tour for us. Basically we wanted accommodation & car rental; we would plan our own excursions. Doing the self-drive though the tour agency presented more leverage with both aspects & we paced ourselves on well-researched excursions. Communication detail was brilliant. Our accommodation was exceptional & car hire went without a hitch. We were particularly enamoured with Denali Grizzly Bear Resort & the Knik River Lodge. Knik River is a delightful, out-of-way area. Alaska is a picture-perfect place & our trip will remain etched in our memories forever. I have already espoused the virtues of Explore Tours to friends & family here in Australia.

Great tours! We enjoyed several days of tours that were very interesting and scenic. Tour guides were extremely knowledgeable and friendly. All tours were as described in itinerary. We especially liked the small group touring.

Planning was excellent Planning was excellent. Very responsive to issues that arose with a couple of the activities. You can trust them to do a great job

Alaska We expected the cabin at Grizzly Bear Resort to have a kitchenette or at least a small fridge. It was really did not have anything extra then a hotel room. Love the Talkeetna Cabin and the Phantom fishing. The tour plan was great giving you time to drive to your next destination. Alaska was beautiful.

The tour needs to give more info about Nome -see comment. The tour needs to give more info about environment , people & culture of Nome and much less personal life story of the driver/guide. It was more an "ego trip" for the mayor and not really a "tour of Nome".
