COWorldpackers changed my life positively I can say that Worldpackers changed my life positively. 5 years ago I started traveling as a volunteer, it was my first approach to a true life of travel, since I had no money. Not only did I meet wonderful people and places, I also improved many skills both at work and on a personal level, which has helped me create portfolios as a professional and relate better to people (both from my culture and from others). I can say that it was not only a way to save money, since all those learnings quickly began to generate money, enough to continue traveling to any destination I wanted, so now when I volunteer (because I still do it from time to time) , I do it just for the pleasure, not for the money. Of course, with so many volunteers for so many years I had some unpleasant experiences, but I always had the support of the support, so I definitely would not dare to volunteer outside the Worldpackers platform.

DEI am travelling full time for one and a… I am travelling full time for one and a half years, almost exclusively using Worldpackers. It made travel affordable, safe and much more exciting. Most of my hosts were wonderful, and if not ,misunderstandings were managable. If you sign up and do 5 programs with positive reviews about you ,the next year is free. I payed much less for the second year, and now I can use it for free as I did over 12 programs. You have to always look up the reviews of hosts, and also don’t expect everyone to answer, but to my experience at least my second or third choices normally work out. I never had to leave an experience early, so I don’t know how is their support system with that, but the smaller issues I had they always replied me promptly. As with everything on the internet and travel, you have to be smart for yourself, trust your gut, be creative and ready to adapt. My hosts respected the agreement and worked with many volunteers before. I can recommend it if you want to travel sustainably and smartly.

GBHORRIBLE host and experience HORRIBLE host and experience. The housing was filthy, over-full and afforded NO privacy. The work was chaotic and not at all as described. Clearly, Worldpackers doesn't vet their "opportunities" at all. You take your chances!!!

GBwaste of money waste of money. They will not show you any requirements the place has until you pay the membership. A lot of places discriminate against your sex or even age! If you're over 40, good luck! There are also people to say they host but, when you apply they offer you to pay $30 a night. There are only 3-4 hostels available in the entire Los Angeles and if you get a response from at least one. You'll be super lucky. Don't waste your money.
