GBI've been using sites such as this one… I've been using sites such as this one and workaway and after several trips abroad I have learnt the ugly truth that its just a way of people using you for cheap labour. Remember that most of the hosts are using these sites to avoid having to pay for workers in the first place (, which raises questions about their ethics) you are insignificant to them as there will always be someone else to replace you. Essentially the website is taking your money in order for someone else to use you as free labour. Please have a long think about this fact Before you start buying expensive plane tickets.

IENo screening of helpers, allow criminals to use platform No screening of helpers. Horrible experience for a very accommodating host. A liar and convicted criminal was permitted to operate through their system and stay at our family home; then follow it up with a negative review which was totally unwarranted and unjustified. The guy had serious psychological issues and skipped out in the middle of the night. No assistance offered on how to manage the situation or accountability by Worldpackers, just generic replies. Then allowing him submit an inaccurate negative review was like rubbing salt in the wound. There's other better managed platforms. I suggest using one of these instead. Avoid Worldpackers if you care about your home/business.

GBBest Hostel Platform WorldPackers is the best platform to help with travelers figuring out ways to long term travel, especially if you are wanting to vagabond from 3 months, 6 months or longer staying 1 month or more in many places. This is the ONLY app/website I'll use to find hostel volunteer stays. They are the best!!

EGI do not recommend using this… I do not recommend using this application because there are many defects and the volunteer offers are old and not up to date. They also do not want to refund money because I sent volunteer requests and they are all expired or closed. There is no acceptance to refuse to refund adding people.

COIntro to my travels I used Worldpackers when I first started backpacking around Latin America almost 5 years ago. Being on a very low budget and not having any prior experience of solo travel, I used this platform to find hostels to volunteer at. It offered quite a few options and most of the hosts were very responsive. I'm truly grateful for the experience I've got to have thanks to Worldpackers!
