GBwaste of money waste of money. They will not show you any requirements the place has until you pay the membership. A lot of places discriminate against your sex or even age! If you're over 40, good luck! There are also people to say they host but, when you apply they offer you to pay $30 a night. There are only 3-4 hostels available in the entire Los Angeles and if you get a response from at least one. You'll be super lucky. Don't waste your money.

GBA great community for anyone interested in solo traveling I first started using Worldpackers as a solo female traveler at 19. It allowed for me to meet people and live life in new ways I probably wouldn’t have gotten the chance to. I have learned so much and connected with amazing travelers and projects along the way. I also really appreciate the information we have access to on the website. There are a variety of different videos you can watch about traveling, agriculture, and so much more. Overall It is a great way to start traveling and to meet people with a strong desire to make a meaningful impact in their communities and the world.

COIntro to my travels I used Worldpackers when I first started backpacking around Latin America almost 5 years ago. Being on a very low budget and not having any prior experience of solo travel, I used this platform to find hostels to volunteer at. It offered quite a few options and most of the hosts were very responsive. I'm truly grateful for the experience I've got to have thanks to Worldpackers!

NLWorldpackers gave me the opportunity to travel on a budget and engage in the local culture I personally did 3 projects with Worldpackers and I loved it! The community is amazing and I especially liked my stay in Indonesia where I lived with a local family for a month and taught English. For me Worldpackers gave me the opportunity to save money while traveling and engage in a unique way with the local culture. Obviously, not everything always goes perfectly, but friends of mine needed to cut a stay short due to problems with the host and Worldpackers paid for accommodation until the end of their originally intended stay (3days). Furthermore, I think reading the reviews of a project is very important and the possibility to reach out with question to people who been to the project before is amazing and helps you to answer any questions not mentioned in the project description. In my experience the hosts are also quite flexible about the length of your stay. And just a friendly reminder that you should not expect Luxurious accommodations, or at least that was never the case for me, but I made it work and I loved my experience with Worldpackers and would for sure do it again.
