A great community for anyone interested in solo traveling I first started using Worldpackers as a solo female traveler at 19. It allowed for me to meet people and live life in new ways I probably wouldn’t have gotten the chance to. I have learned so much and connected with amazing travelers and projects along the way. I also really appreciate the information we have access to on the website. There are a variety of different videos you can watch about traveling, agriculture, and so much more. Overall It is a great way to start traveling and to meet people with a strong desire to make a meaningful impact in their communities and the world.

I traveled around France by bicycle I traveled around France by bicycle. I went from place to place about every two to three weeks. I was always warmly welcomed to each host place. Each one was different, which made it even more enjoyable. I am 65 and had no problem getting a placement. Each place even wanted me to continue staying and welcomed me back any time I was in the area. I met volunteers that were semi skilled down to novice. Each person was assigned a project that they could complete with ease. In Ireland I met some lifelong friends and hope to return at some point.

waste of money waste of money. They will not show you any requirements the place has until you pay the membership. A lot of places discriminate against your sex or even age! If you're over 40, good luck! There are also people to say they host but, when you apply they offer you to pay $30 a night. There are only 3-4 hostels available in the entire Los Angeles and if you get a response from at least one. You'll be super lucky. Don't waste your money.

Best Hostel Platform WorldPackers is the best platform to help with travelers figuring out ways to long term travel, especially if you are wanting to vagabond from 3 months, 6 months or longer staying 1 month or more in many places. This is the ONLY app/website I'll use to find hostel volunteer stays. They are the best!!
