AUHead over hills in Central Park due to lack of staff pointing out basic operating procedures. I'm from Australia where the rear brake is operated by the left hand. Operating staff should have pointed out that at NYC the left hand operates the front pedal. Surely every bike hire should include a brief handover about operating procedures. Unfortunately, I used what I thought was the rear brake which was in fact the front one. Head over hills. 30K hospital bill. Thank you very much, Brian

GBDO NOT BOOK ONLINE Was in person in Central Park waiting to rent bikes. Was approached by a salesperson that I could “get a better deal booking online.” He stayed by my side the entire time while booking. I verified that I’d be getting the bike from the present location which he emphatically assured was true. Upon completion of the online rental, I step in line to pick up our bikes. I was told I had to go to a location several blocks away, towards midtown to pick them up. I was very frustrated and the salesperson who had been helping me was now “taking a break.” I was with my young daughter and did not want to ride bikes, even only a few blocks, through the streets of New York. They refused to refund my money. TOTAL CROOKS!

GBSo pleased with this purchase!! So pleased with this purchase!!! Bike arrived in 2 days in excellent condition. Called the shop before placing online order and they were very helpful and answered all my questions. Slight assembly required but was expecting that when I opted to have it shipped- basically just need to put the wheels, seat and handlebars on. Very happy with the overall experience. Bike is like new and my daughter is going to be super excited with her new wheels she will be getting for her birthday!! Highly recommend using this seller.

GBNot good at all... I ordered a bicycle from the Bike Rent NYC online shop. 10 days later I had to call them about the shipment. When I received the shipment then two days later it was a completely different and wrong product. Customer service was of little help and made promises that were never fulfilled. After another week I still haven’t received my product and the contacts will not answer their phones or emails and their mailboxes are full. Consumers beware.

GBUsed bike purchase - Do Not Recommend I ordered a bike online, which was marked as an excellent condition for 400$, but the bike I actually received was in beat-up condition, with lots of rust, scratches all over, dents, they didn't even bother to wipe down the bike. Don't recommend buying a bike from here.
