ZABike was in good condition Bike was in good condition. Service was quick. Proximity to Central Park was convenient. Only problem was finding my way back to the Bike Rent premises - it would make it easier if we were given a small printed map - All roads look the same when you are from out of town!

GBOverall Just Ok Customer service was decent (very prompt email responses but I had to reach out to get the tracking number). I was unhappily surprised by the condition of the bike -- it was listed as "excellent" but I'd describe it as "good" -- lots of scratches and dings on every surface, some rusting, some damage to wires, surface damage to gears, wear on the seat and so forth. I haven't bought a used bike before so maybe I'm just not familiar with the condition... but I'd describe this bike as having been treated roughly.

NLScam Scam! They charged me twice because off a payment failure. They told me that they refund my money in two business days, still waiting 3 weeks later now and they don't answering my calls or emails...

AUHead over hills in Central Park due to lack of staff pointing out basic operating procedures. I'm from Australia where the rear brake is operated by the left hand. Operating staff should have pointed out that at NYC the left hand operates the front pedal. Surely every bike hire should include a brief handover about operating procedures. Unfortunately, I used what I thought was the rear brake which was in fact the front one. Head over hills. 30K hospital bill. Thank you very much, Brian

CAWatch your credit card statements After we returned our bikes, we were told our deposit had been refunded back onto our credit card. This did not happen. Several phone calls later, the issue was not resolved. Only when we involved the credit card company did we finally receive our deposit back. I understand mistakes and glitches can happen, but it should not take more than one month to correct.
