With Delta airlines we bought the tickets for our Ski vacation in Vermont. My family and I were due to return from Burlignton to Maryland on February 13, 2024. The airline informed us the day before that the flight had been canceled due to bad weather even though there was no snow, rain or other weather event that warranted cancel the flight. For work reasons we had to return to Maryland the next day. Making the most favorable decision for us, we had to rent a car to travel to Boston for 3 and a half hours where there was snow, rain and a lot of slow traffic due to the weather conditions. Delta did not recognize the additional expense on our trip nor the one we had to eat on the way to get to Maryland. When trying to reconcile a possible part of the flight, vehicle rental and food, they refused and did not acknowledge anything. This is one of those companies that lose nothing, they keep everything favoring the house like a roulette wheel at a town fair, to the detriment of customer satisfaction. I will never travel with this company again because I consider that they acted unfairly and are not responsible for their customers, sad for an airline that shows itself with attractive advertising of satisfaction to its customers but in reality I consider that customers are not a priority interest for the same given the events that happened to me and my family.

GBDo a better job of being on time I started getting notifications about 7am that my 2pm flight was an hour late. I got to the airport early and talked to a ticket agent who said I would have 20 minutes to catch the connecting flight and would be fine. After moving very slowly to board and takeoff, I started getting notifications that my next flight would be boarding soon. I asked a flight attendant about this and he couldn’t help me. He was very nice but didn’t help me. After we landed and as we taxied in, I got a notice that my flight was taking off. So Delta started sending me notices to choose another flight. But the earliest flight I could choose didn’t leave for another 9 1/2 hours and included a layover before getting home. So, it ended up taking me an extra 19 hours to get home. And the worst part is that I talked to 3 Delta employees and none of them helped me at all. The crazy part is that I felt even though they were warning me all day that I was going to have these long delays, there was absolutely nothing I could do about it

GBStrongly recommend avoiding Delta I would recommend avoiding Delta if at all possible. We had booked to fly from Atlanta to Dublin but ended up having our flight delayed 2+ hours. During the delay, the Delta desk agents would not answer any questions about the cause of the delay or how long the delay would be. The staff overall seemed to not know what was going on and even later stated that they "needed to go see what was going on" before they would be able to provide a departure time. Overall, the impression is of a poorly run airline, with staff that were unable or unwilling to answer any questions.

GBAtrocious service and policies Atrocious service and policies. Was charged $200 just to reissue my boarding pass when there was an error in the order of my name (Middle Name had to be shifted to the Last Name field to match the machine readable area on my passport). Absolutely ridiculous especially since Spirit and Allegiant (supposedly budget airlines) were more than happy to do it for free. The name change service was outsourced to another company called “Flight Trip Charge” as well which made the whole thing seem incredibly sketchy. Honestly thought as one of the major carriers in the US, I would be getting better service. Will definitely avoid Delta if I can in the future.

ARPoor loyalty program since 2023 Their service on board is EXCELLENT. They offer good food, entertainment, and information. I used to love Delta but their new Skymiles program benefits only rich people. It's MUCH HARDER to earn status. They want to push Delta Vacations (I get better options and prices elsewhere). It's just not worth it. They have also limited benefits from credit cards, which makes it even less worth it to travel with them. Why bother?
