2006 Silverado I bought a 4l60e unit and it has never lived up to the oem unit from GM, the ‘new’ transmission revs out much higher and much longer than stock. Shifting from 3rd to 4th gear there is a loud snapping noise coming from the unit. I’m very disappointed after spending nearly 3k to fix this problem I’m left with an inferior quality part.

Many thanks!! I purchased my remanufactured transmission for an 04 Escalade in June of 2018. No issues at all and I have been out of state a few times since it’s been installed with a decent load too. Truck still pulls strong!!!! Thank You BestBuy Transmissions!!

Needing a new transmission Needing a new transmission, I did my research and based on warranty, reviews and BBB rating I ordered a 42RE for my Ram truck. I also liked the upgrades correcting factory issues. It came in 4 days, just like the salesman said, from Milwaukee to Miami. Looked like new in the crate. Installed myself (mechanic earlier in life) and although it has only been a few days, I am so pleased with the way it shifts, no leaks, etc.. Assuming all continues to go well, I will recommend to friends or use them again. Would probably find a shop for the exchange next time though - lol

Transmission lost reverse after 5k Transmission lost reverse after 5k, miles. After considerable effort, they did honor the warranty. But, the replacement transmission was faulty immediately. My mechanic discovered that the retainer clip was not installed properly. After more b#ll$h1t they issued a replacement valve body. Mechanic installed. Took them six months to honor warranty. I ended up having to cover $500 in additional parts and labor. The original install price was $700 parts and labor. No truck for 6 weeks. The transmissions were coming out of Wisconsin. They are based in Florida for a reason: they're business practices are shielded against lawsuits. You might want to check Monster.

Ford 2004 2 wd drive Explorer Ford 2004 2 wd drive Explorer. Rebuilt transmission with two different shops for $5,000. Both failed. Ordered BestBuy remanufactured transmission for $2,300. Paid another mechanic $800 to install. Transmission from BestBuy arrived in 5 days. So far, after only 1,000 miles all is great. Lesson learned? Never goto a transmission shop who rebuilds transmissions. They only replace parts they think need replacement (to save them money, not you). BestBuy replaces all parts with either OEM or improved parts and cover with an excellent warranty. As stated, after 1,000 miles, all is great. Highly recommend!
