The most important service I can provide is educating the owner on how they can use dog psychology to have a better relationship with their dog. You as the owner must be involved in your dog’s training in order to be successful long term. What would be the point of your dog behaving perfectly with me and not with you? I believe that leadership begins inside the home, in the dog’s environment. If you can lead your dog inside the home without distractions, then you can transfer that leadership outside, where you will be competing with Mother Nature. The most rewarding part of my job as a dog training coach is seeing the growth in the human. With the right communication, and patience from the human, it’s fairly easy to change a dog’s behavior. However I believe in order for us to change our dog’s behavior, we must first be willing to make changes within ourselves. This is why I refer to myself as more of a “coach” than a traditional “dog trainer”.
