GBVery Poor Experience Really disappointed with this company. Bought a domain name at an agreed price on January 21st, funds were verified as taken on 22nd. I chased them up on the 25th after not receiving any updates and then again on 1st Feb. On 2nd Feb they cancelled the order citing being unable to verify ownership of the domain. At first I took this at face value but today I see the domain relisted as available on their site again at three times what I was paying, so I'm pretty disgusted about it. For this reason I would not recommend this company and am very unlikely to ever use them again myself.

ATwarning: stay away Afternic listed one of my domains as "for sale", even though I never offered my domain for sale, and even though I was never a godaddy or afternic customer. I had to make multiple phone calls. Their staff is friendly, but for the most part couldn't help me. They also refused to see the point that offering other peoples property for sale without asking first is not right. One of their agents pointed out to me that I better comply with their way of working, because godaddy is a large company. He suggest I should not "take them up". Ultimately I let them pressure me to register an account myself, verify ownership of my domain, and then unlist the domain. The process did not actually work, and I had to make many more calls. Now i'm stuck with an Afternic account that I never wanted, because their "delete account" functionality, on top of all the other headaches, is broken. Definitely a company i will not be dealing with ever again if I can avoid it.

GLIncredibly shady, beware at all costs Another shady company owned by GoDaddy. They scoop up domains that you either forget to renew or simply SEARCH FOR ON GODADDY! Then they charge you thousands of dollars to buy it back.

GBAfternic telephone support people are… Afternic telephone support people are smart and deeply knowledgeable. Really good and usually just a short wait. However, only available in standard business hours. 6 pm East Coast they're gone for the day. Don't be upset. They are spending their support budget on quality, not on spreading 24/7. The reality is if they hired more people to cover 24/7 they couldn't pay well and those new people would not know as much and they would have to bleed money away from daytime support so daytime attrition would be replaced with lower paid superficial knowledge people. SO: I REALLY PREFER AFTERNIC's present method of customer assistance, normal business hours. Finding time during your workday your call will be shorter due to shorter wait time and their person speaking US English and understanding you. Minor downside their url landing pages are only black and white, no colors, no cool designs.
