A perspective to consider Modern Musician sells a tactical strategy that can be very effective for certain kinds of personalities and musicians. If your audience is one that expects and buys merch, that’s great. And if the direct appeal works for your audience and you, even better. For a solo female artist this approach was not for me…The customer service is attentive enough but also not too good — they want to drive you to the pricier “gold” level. I found customer service to be very friendly and supportive. But the software while having lofty aims does not deliver. There are better CRM programs and way better email programs — I just didn’t have enough experience and didn’t do research, so believed their statistics and pricing comparisons. The social media integrations are not as functional as others and for a small band pretty unnecessary. I learned a lot from this business, most of it being how to sell because they did such a great job of it. I truly got a lot of value just seeing how they operated. I have since moved to an email service with a way better delivery rate (that I never would have sought out of this hadn't been such a failure!) and changed my strategy altogether. I’ll let you know if I end up finding the master strategy but I think it’s a better course of action. I’m writing this to provide someone else with a little more color on the MM experience from someone who was really invested and implementing for 3+ months — I’m happy for those who have had this approach and community work for them and their music but it was not something that worked for me despite best efforts. Best of luck ~

Ask questions and be proactive. They have a good program but they are misleading in the entirety of the three month program. Some instructors don’t have the patients for questions or training and some if you don’t show up totally prepared they construct that part of the ClickFunnells without clear explanation of what there doing leaving one more confused. Even tho it’s a three month program they cram a lot of material down your throat in four weeks in order to have your program go live even tho you have no product to back it up. This was not made clear on the intro/interview sessions. When you tried to slow down and try to get clarity and ask questions you get the meeting with an admin person who says they want to help you understand and succeed what you get is their own decision not yours to terminate the relationship. I really wanted to get this completed, but there was no group decision. In the admin session it was made quickly known that I was not a good fit. To me they don’t like some questions and if there are problem with FB beyond your control they really don’t like that. They don’t like confusion and I feel they were in error because if they did their homework in the beginning they would have known we would not be a good fit but for $5000 it was worth the risk. Guess what!! After being terminated I started to organize my FB music page only to find out that this program I was going to shell out $5000 for I could get they same results through FB/Instagram for less. If you have $5000 to throw away, fine but you can achieve success through all FB offers for less.

Save Your Money My advice is to save your money. Yes they are very nice people and deliver what they say they will. That said, the question is... is it worth 5K? NO!!!!! The problem is that they offer very little support other than the one hour one on one sessions which in most cases are really 25 minutes and are rushed. Try to get an answer to your questions (and you will have plenty of them) and you are OUT OF LUCK. Submit a ticket and maybe you get a response within 24 hours and it usually doesn't answer your question but refers you to a video (that you've already watched) or to the daily sessions but good luck trying to get your question answered there. The Facebook page is also a joke. It's mostly Michael Walker asking for wins but very little useful interaction. Don't be taken in by the "Manychat" feature. From my perspective it is far too confusing and convoluted and highly impersonal. I expected more out of this program and was truly disappointed. When I brought it up to them they were compassionate and offered me some free bonus sessions. Yes, they agreed with my concerns in a very nice manner but sadly however they did not provide me with any real answers. :((

Modern Musician and it’s incredible… Modern Musician and it’s incredible team members are able to take the wild, woolly world of music marketing and distill it into a digital music ecosystem that makes sense for the fan journey. They’re masters at connecting the dots so things can be happening while you sleep—also freeing you up to make more music that connects with more people. Can’t say enough good things about this company and crew!

Great People that truly care about who… Great People that truly care about who you are as a person and how they can help you be the best version of yourself so you can in turn go and serve your fans better than you could have before. All the coaches are top notch and give honest feedback about how you are the artist can serve your fans better. It's been the best experience I have ever had with coaching in the music business.
