Fake Ratings and Reviews Don't trust their ratings! Low quality website that doesn't allow honest negative reviews about lawyers. Their Better Business Bureau rating is F (the lowest possible rating) and they fail to respond to complaints submitted through Better Business Bureau. If you're trying to find a lawyer and want to see real reviews, look elsewhere. Like many other people said here - Avvo is a scam.

Avvo defends and has criminals on there lawyer list be careful I give avvo 1 star simply because they have a few lawyers on there list that have had there law license suspended like Justin Infurna you can easily look him up and find the illegal info on him and when i went to write a review about the lawyer warning people they wouldn't let me post the review and defended the lawyer even after I told them what he had done to me and others like me. Funny because his license has been suspended since December and your company wrote nothing on his profile about it at all. Which would have been info that wouldve saved me money. Nice try with that lie though. Now if I could I would give your company -2 stars.

Rude and unprofessional replies by lawyers Ive used avvo in the past and never had issues. However today I posted question and got rude answers. One in particular lawyer who doesn't even practice in the field my question pertains to, keeps leaving unbelievable rude comments! I can find a customer support email or number to report nor can I find a way to block him. I flagged him but that doesn't stop the issue. If a avvo representative reads this, hopefully you reply by letting me know who to contact that can stop the rude and unprofessional replies!!!

Great innovative company founded by… Great innovative company founded by Mark Britton, formerly of Expedia. When Avvo came out is was no darling of lawyers.n fact many sued Avvo contesting bad reviews. Most if not all lost.Some of those same lawyers are complaining at this site. I Unlike Google, Avvo does actively police for fake reviews and will remove those. Avvo was sold last year. Whether the new owners live up to Mr. Britton's vision is yet to be determined.

AVVO IS PAID ADVERTISING FOR LAWYERS & SUPPORTS LAWYERS BY MANIPULATING REVIEWS I needed to discuss a situation involving protecting my 91y.o. mother who suffers from Dementia. The lawyer uses avvo marketing services. Long story short on the lawyer,,, she basically called me a liar, told me I should just let her apartment complex allow their employees to break their own rules and local, state, & federal laws. I write a review & used a word the lawyer used,,, she said I should just put up with the dog S_ _ T! AVVO REJECTED BECAUSE THE "S" WORD. I CHANGE IT TO POOP. AVVO REJECTS IT NOW BECAUSE I DID NOT ACTUALLY HIRE THE LAWYER,,, AVVO ASKS WHEN LEAVING A REVIEW "WAS THIS A CONSULTATION OR DID I HIRE THE LAWYER... I STATED CONSULTATION. LAST YEAR I CONTACTED A LAWYER THAT SAID RESPONDS TO CALLS BUT BEST TO EMAILS IN 24 HOURS. I CALL A COUPLE OF TIMES NEVER HEARD FROM HIM. I SEND AN EMAIL AND GOT A GENERIC REPLY ABOUT THEY RECEIVED MY EMAIL,,, NEVER HEARD BACK, SEND ANOTHER EMAIL,,, STILL NEVER CONTACTED ME SO I LEFT NEGATIVE REVIEW AND AVVO POSTED IT. 1ST THING I SAID IN THAT REVIEW WAS "I CAN'T REVIEW THE LAWYER DIRECTLY BECAUSE HE NEVER RETURNED ANY CALLS OR MESSAGES EXCEPT THE ONE SAYING THEY RECEIVED MY EMAIL AND WILL GET BACK WITH ME. AVVO REJECTED THIS CURRENT REVIEW A 3RD TIME STATING I MADE COMMENTS ABOUT THE LAWYER BEING UNETHICAL,,, NOT EVEN SURE WHAT PART OF THE REVIEW POINTED OUT WHATEVER MAY BE UNETHICAL, BUT,,, WHEN YOU CONTACT A LAWYER TO GET ASSISTANCE PROTECTING YOUR 91Y.O. MOTHER SUFFERING FROM DEMENTIA OR ANY DISABILITY AND YOU POINT OUT THEM BREAKING RULES AND LAWS LIKE JUST PUT UP WITH STEPPING IN THE POOP THE MANAGER'S DOG IS NOT GETTING PICKED UP,, OR THEM LYING TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND WESHOUKD JUST "PUT UP WITH IT"!!! SOUNDS PERHAPS UNETHICAL,, ALTHOUGH I NEVER USED THST WORD IN MY REVIEW! AVVO IS A MARKETING COMPANY FOR LAWYERS. LAWYERS PAY THEM MONEY TO BE LISTED ON AVVO'S SITE. AND AVVO WILL DO WHATEVER OR SAY WHATEVER TO ELIMINATE AS MANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS AS POSSIBLE...AVVO IS "F" RATED WITH THE BBB. HERE ON TRUSTPILOT THEY HAVE LESS THAN 2 STARS WHICH IN ITSELF IS MISLEADING...BECAUSE YOU CAN NOT LEAVE "0" STARS. SO IF EVERYONE GAVE THEM A "1" STAR RATING/REVIEW... IT WOULD LOOK AS IF THEY WERE 20% OK WHEN REALISTICALLY THEY WOULD BE "0%".
