My experience was good My experience was good my shipment arrived very promptly. I have two small niggles/comments: The video estimate of the volume of items that I wished to ship was right on the boundary of a 20ft container. The estimator thought I would probably get everything in. I was advised to prioritise what I wanted to take in case my all my items did not fit. When the packing crew arrived they assured me that everything would fit but whoever called to check that the crew had arrived and that everything was going well still insisted on telling me to prioritise, even after she had spoken to the packers - every contact that I had with her prior to removal day, and on the day itself left me concerned that I would not be able to bring back what I wanted. This unnerved me a bit. In fact I could have taken more with me. My things were packed very well. My only slight niggle here was that the corrugated cardboard that was used to wrap my leather chairs and settee has left some ridges. I am hoping that they will ease.

Super helpful and trustworthy My move of belongings was a long journey, both in distance, California to Essex, UK; time, August to February, and in emotion, closing down my childhood home. Marlene was a great help getting my application in order. Then Laurynas in the US and Frankie in the UK were excellent point people calming me and reassuring of all my questions and worries. The element of time was fortuitous, seas were stormy, and we purposely delayed our departure and arrival times because of our home in England wasn't ready to receive a shipment. The team of workers that arrived in August to take my belonging to the warehouse were so wonderful and careful. I had done most the packing myself, but they wrapped our furniture with care. The removal team in England was very efficient. Only two small bits of damage incurred: a rung on a wooden chair, and a couple of small scuffs on furniture edges. Nothing I would claim on. I had my family treasures in a new home. I am very grateful to SDC, Thank you.

LA to Australia Making a big move from LA to Australia. There are lots of unknowns and regulations, and Timothy at SDC has been fantastic. He has answered all my (many) questions and has put me at ease with his professionalism and knowledge. Walked me through all the requirements and worked hard to get me the most competitive quote. Looking forward to an easy move with these guys.

SDC gave us a competitive quote and… SDC gave us a competitive quote and being local to us in LA were always available when we needed them. Laurynas, our agent, was meticulous in processing our shipment from CA to the UK to make sure we didn't have any issues. Because of this, everything arrived on time and there were no hassles with UK customs. A friend who moved back to UK last year using a different company had her shipment delayed in UK customs for a month because the paperwork hadn't been completed properly and she has a huge extra bill! BTW - both removals teams in LA and UK were extremely professional - very careful with our possessions and very friendly.

You just need to be patient and know it may take awhile, depending on the country you're living in. Friends here in Peru had nightmares getting their stuff shipped here, so I chose this company very carefully. Glad I did!
