Biased reviews with referrals to terrible companies We relied on moveBuddha in selecting Safeway Moving Systems for our cross country move. moveBuddha recommends Safeway as one of its "best interstate mover[s]" despite an atypical number of complaints lodged with the BBB and DOT for its size. The "high level of customer service and support" moveBuddha cites for Safeway is completely false, evidenced by the numerous complaints describing dodged calls and emails. Do not trust moveBuddha's recommendations; trust the BBB and DOT complaints/reviews. I suspect moveBuddha is receiving some sort of compensation from the companies it refers.

I would rate this company 0 star I would rate this company 0 star. We selected a "well-rated" moving company-Proud American from their website for our cross-state move. But it turned out to be a huge nightmare. Our stuff were picked up in California on July 22, and they stayed in some warehouse in California until August 17, and we were only told recently that the stuff will be coming our way in Texas. My friends who used another long distance moving company from California to Texas only took 5 days. Horrible experience to say the least. Yet after I provided the feedback on Proud American to MovingBuddha's founder, there has been no response. Please do not trust the ratings that MovingBuddha gives on the moving companies. Proud American is rated 4 stars on MovingBuddha. But we will not recommend that moving company to anyone. In

Not to be trusted. Ghosted All I could say is I wish I researched this website before using it. I had a terrible experience with a moving company that was recommended by this third party website. Not goin to details but missing boxes, incredibly late delivery, and down right disrespectful service. I mean they literally held my stuff hostage. That said I reached out multiple time to Ryan Carrigan at moving Buddha. The only response I got was fill out our survey. I detailed everything and requested action. NOTHING. I wrote a few times asking to speak on the matter and nothing. Maybe they’re all in bed together. Regardless of my assumptions I would not trust these guys as far as you could throw them. No wonder there reviews are terrible.

Safeway Moving Systems is a BROKER Safeway Moving Systems is NOT a moving company. They are a broker. They have no moving trucks and no movers. They simply sell your contract to 3rd party movers that you have no say in. The moving company they gave our contract to had their driver EXTORT money at the door, refusing to deliver if we did not pay an extra $200 cash. They threatened my husband. Safeway was completely unreachable during this time, has still to this day refused to pick up calls, and they have yet to reimburse us for broken items. If you want a moving company, just book with the moving company. Otherwise you must work with multiple moving companies and none of them have to take responsibility for loss of items. Additionally, the initial price estimate is a compete and utter lie. The total price changed with each moving company. And what were we to do? They had all of our belongings as well as our contract. Once again, Safeway was completely unreachable once they had our money.
