It also gives me an idea of questions to ask and how much information to place into the specs before quote is given. However, I which the site would give more information on what areas they can provide quotes for. Other than the guides, once I was ready for to hear a quote, I was disappointed that no one in my area was available through them. Guides were so helpful in giving me realistic cost that I only took 1 star away for contractors not being available in area. The Guides also gave me indications where I may have to do somethings myself to save on cost like self demo/removal and smaller installation like fixtures or flooring.

This site has all the information that… This site has all the information that I've been searching for for years. I like how it shows the cost of labor and also the different scenario situations. I can now get paid for what I'm doing and also show the proof of the cost. I think this shows the national standard for pricing. The solar panel estimator was easy to… The solar panel estimator was easy to use and even linked to an overhead view of my house when I submitted my address. The only thing that I didn’t care for was linking my name and contact information with solar companies as I was only doing initial research. After using the site I was contacted by no less than five companies selling their service. That may be perfect for someone already intent on getting solar installation, but for someone like me in the beginning stages of research, it was a little much. Again, the site and estimator were excellent and easy to use.

I was interested in seeing the square… I was interested in seeing the square footage of my roof and an “estimate” of cost to replace, not including demo. However, I am not keen on getting many calls from contractors. I am not at that point and prefer to compile my own lists. Other folks might love getting the calls and possible resources but I am not one of them. Thank you.
