GBGuesstimate needed for goal to save amount for future I will be needing a new roof in the future and needed to find a guesstimate for the amount I need to set as a goal to save. I did not want to go through all of the calling and emails and on sight estimates as I did not want to waste the company’s time or mine. The Fixr calculator was just what I needed. I fully understand it is not a set in stone estimate as there may be variables without taking an insight look, but I now know what ballpark amount to shoot for. The calculator was very easy to us.

GBMany guidelines were very helpful in... Many guidelines were very helpful in giving me an idea on the quotes to expect. It also gives me an idea of questions to ask and how much information to place into the specs before quote is given. However, I which the site would give more information on what areas they can provide quotes for. Other than the guides, once I was ready for to hear a quote, I was disappointed that no one in my area was available through them. Guides were so helpful in giving me realistic cost that I only took 1 star away for contractors not being available in area. The Guides also gave me indications where I may have to do somethings myself to save on cost like self demo/removal and smaller installation like fixtures or flooring.

GBI was able to find most of of what I wanted I was able to find most of the information I wanted. At times the site was difficult for me to navigate, but I’m not that tech savvy. My generation (70’s) is full of bottom line people. The quicker we can get there, the better.

GBQuote for a new roof I used this site to get the range of prices for a new roof before someone came to give me a "free" estimate, with very aggressive sales tactics. This calculator helped me understand the price I was quoted was high, so I resisted the "buy it right here right now" price from the sales person.
