It worked through some estimates for solar costs but it was not able to give me an accurate answer. That said, the folks at fixr did follow up and seem sincere in trying to make an honest and useful tool.

The only thing that I didn’t care for was linking my name and contact information with solar companies as I was only doing initial research. After using the site I was contacted by no less than five companies selling their service. That may be perfect for someone already intent on getting solar installation, but for someone like me in the beginning stages of research, it was a little much. Again, the site and estimator were excellent and easy to use.
