GBGood for clients, but not user friendly I have got a lot of clients through care.com which is wonderful. But it is not very user friendly. I have had a lot of tech issues some of which have prevented me from responding to potential clients; possibly lost clients due to that. When I go to customer service I can usually get responses through the chat but often times they tell me it needs to go to IT and I will hear from them in two weeks. Both times it took about six months to hear back. Also when I apply half of the applications I put in are of people who are not actively hiring. However there's no way to know that until I submit to the job. I'll send about thirty messages and only about five of them are actively hiring. Lastly , there's a lot of things that were not told directly that caused a lot of issues. For example you cannot send links through care.com and there's a limit to how many messages you can send in a day. Not knowing these 2 things caused a lot of strife and me having to message multiple people through their chat to figure it out.

GBDon't get trapped!! They will auto-renew your account even AFTER cancellation. I had a one month premium membership with care.com. Upon reviewing some provider's profiles and trying to connect with them through the system, it became very clear that many of the provider's accounts were outdated. Their posted availability was not current, a few had picked up other jobs and had not yet cancelled their accounts, many folks didn't respond to messages, and one young lady didn't even know that she had an active account and lived 2 states away! In hindsight, this should have been my warning. I cancelled the membership, got an email confirmation of the cancellation (had to ride out the full month) and was assured that I would not be charged again. WRONG!!! They continued to charge my account for months after and when I finally noticed this on my credit card statement and called them, their phone system directed me to their website for assistance. I found the chat feature again and that person/bot did nothing to resolve this issue. The excuse was that my membership was reactivated -- I assure you that I did not do this -- and per their policy, could not issue a refund. I went to BBB to file a complaint and care.com is not accredited. I would absolutely not recommend this service to anyone.

GBBEWARE, once you sign up, they bill you forever, impossible to cancel. Have not used the service for over 7 years. Just saw they are still billing me an annual fee. Disputed with CC, Care.com came back to prove you canceled. I never even get an email from them; they just obviously try to bill you forever. Check out their Better Business Bureau rating of 1 out of close to 1000 bad reviews. Care.com sucks, really. I used them when my kids were little, one of their providers stole our CC.

CABe aware of auto-renewal Be aware of auto-renewal for premium members. This company doesn't have a large database of caregivers in my area (Toronto, Canada), their site is not that user friendly (e.g. worker area not available) and workers are questionable - one applied asking if I could do cash as he didn't have a work permit. As for billing, I cancelled on the last day of my service and discovered I had already been charged for the next month. Went in circles trying to find contact info and two emails received by mailboxes not monitored. Tip - use the Chat feature during business hours to reach someone right away.

GBMy problem still exists My problem still exists. I have reached out three times to let you know that my profile still says “No reviews yet.” Though two agents have assured me they can see them, and potential clients can see them, I can’t, and it still has not been fixed on my app.
