About RadonSeal

It happens to thousands of homeowners each year – the sale of their home falls through because of high radon in their basement. They have to hustle to get a radon mitigation system installed and hope that the buyer will not walk away. But for many years after, they may wonder about the long-term effects of the radioactive gas on their children. Since radon gas seeps into basements from the ground, the US Environment Protection Agency had tested the obvious solutions back in the 1980's – caulking all cracks and sealing the concrete with various coatings but the improvements were not significant or lasting. Thus, the fan-based system which draws soil gases from underneath basement slabs became the standard. There had to be a better way! Novion Inc. was founded in 1987 to pursue innovative high-tech solutions. Penetrating concrete sealers, already well-proven for waterproofing concrete on major projects, seal concrete internally and permanently. Perhaps, they could be improved to penetrate deeper and seal even tighter to keep out the single-atom radon gas. After extensive research and testing, the first concrete sealer specifically developed to reduce radon infiltration through concrete was ready for the big debut – RadonSeal® Deep-Penetrating Concrete Sealer. Novion Inc. was incorporated in Connecticut and RadonSeal was made available directly to homeowners and contractors on radonseal.com website. Subsequently, we have continued to add unique innovative products, not available in stores, for basements, indoor or outdoor concrete, bricks, pavers, and masonry. Going beyond radon remediation, we provide durable and cost-effective solutions for waterproofing basements, sealing concrete slabs against vapor, and mold remediation. Our products also protect and beautify indoor or outdoor concrete, pavers, and masonry. RadonSeal's eflorescence is tops Their eflorescence cleaner has little or no odor. It works effectively at neutralizing calcium bleeding through concrete block. I tried strong vinegar, it was ineffectual. Years ago I tried muriatic acid which worked about the same as RadonSeals product- but the smell was horrible. I ran short on this job, so I ordered another gallon- it works !

I love the product except I ran short… I love the product except I ran short of the urethane to repair my 6 ft crack with a single order of your product.

Not bad considering that: Not bad considering that: (a) The sales department did not know that Puerto Rico is a US possesion and we use the US dollar as currency. (b) The first invoice did not include UPS shipping (c) After paying the shipping charges invoice, I was informed that it was "cheaper" using the US postal service and was invoiced for "the difference" (d) Never got a tracking number regardless of the many times I asked for it to make sure that someone would be home. (e) It was shipped UPS Ground instead of US Postal Service s charged and the product was almost stolen. My wife arrived just in time when the driver of a pickup truck was on his way to my driveway to steal the 4 pails. He turned tails and ran away. Other than that. Peachy.

2 attempts, but basement is dry! My crack was difficult as it was the entire wall and it was behind the septic pipe. I was barely able to get it to work behind the pipe. The crack sealer did work, however, I did have to address one part of it 2 times. Preparing the area to accept foam again was not fun. I drilled behind the port this time and slowly injected foam untill the hydraulic pressure of the foam started to break the port off. I would have given this product 5 stars had it worked the first time. I am glad I bought the PRO kit as I used about 2.5 tubes of foam on the repair. I am still happy, it did work!!! We had over 1.5 inches one storm in an already wet week and nothing came in! Basement is dry!!!
