About Elgato

Elgato is a world-leading provider of audiovisual technology for content creators on all video sharing platforms. Synonymous with quality and performance, Elgato products are either state-of-the-art inventions in their own right, or reimagined technologies designed to revolutionize creative workflows. Software and firmware are frequently updated to keep producers at the cutting edge of their craft. And cross-compatibility delivers a seamless user experience that keeps evolving as the Elgato ecosystem grows. Elgato was founded in 1999. In 2018, Corsair Gaming, Inc., acquired the brand and its employees. Based in Germany and California, Elgato distributes products in over seventy-five countries around the world.

Ordered direct from Elgato. Wrong colour shipped. Still chasing the refund 14 days after returning product Ordered direct from Elgato. Wrong colour product shipped. Notified them immediately. Took 10 days to respond. Offered for me to send it back and then they'd send a new one. I asked for refund and they agreed. Issued RMA number. Sent back via a tracked UPS service. Didn't get a receipt from newsagent, but can see on the weblink that it was delivered back and signed for. 14 days since it was returned to them, the support team are still saying they cannot issue a refund without a photo of the paper receipt from the newsagent (that I was never given). The experience with this company has been so poor I will never shop with them again. Try their rivals instead and never buy direct from them - they are not setup to provide end customer satisfaction.

Awful Customer Service Awful Customer Service. Ordered something weeks ago. It has not shipped, they do not respond to emails, and when you call them, you get placed on hold for 30 minutes, before it tells you nobody is available and drops the call.

EL Gato is way overrated I have owned several EL Gato products including a stream deck, a capture card and most recently the Wave 3 microphone. At one time paying a little more for EL Gato products seemed like a good choice, but with my experience it has not been the case. Over time all of the above products let me down with compatibility issues during software updates and poor tech support. The wave 3 sound quality become so bad I just got rid of it after less than a year of use. I tried everything, wasted a lot of time and in the end it just didn't do the job. That's kind of been my experience with all EL Gato products. Sad but true. I wouldn't buy from them again.

Bought elgato video capture and it wasn’t plug n play.( FOR ME. ) Bought elgato video capture and it refused to work on my older Mac , and a iPad , the latter one only a few months old. Hmmm Operator error ?? Finally download a version of the required software onto a much newer OS version .. I think Website seems to have a lot of beta stuff, and clunky pop ups, confusing.. So, not for me in the end, which is a shame, expensive , didn’t work for me, sent back, time …. And move on😄

Great experience with Elgato Great experience with Elgato. Purchased a 4k Capture Card from Currys and somehow, the USB connector became bent. I went straight to Elgato, who arranged for a return and replacement. Above and beyond what I expected from them in all honesty. The product is great too. Thanks guys!
