Terrible student finance support. I've been attending this school since the beginning of 2022. Every time I get a Pell Grant disbursement I have to call and make sure I can get that money disbursed to me. If I don't they'll keep the money without saying a word. My tuition is covered by the VR&E program yet my account balance is absurdly high. Every time I call the financial aid department for an explanation their representatives act like they no nothing nor have the knowledge to correct a mistake. My academic/financial advisor is terrible at getting back to me. I called and emailed about a month ago only for her to barely call me back yesterday with no results. If it wasn't for my VR&E program keeping me in their bachelor's program I would have tried my best to transfer out already. There's been countless times where their financial aid representatives say they will call me back with answers but I never receive a call back. I have to follow up just to make sure they're doing their job properly.

My application/interview experience My application/interview experience at National University: The second round interview panel acted like they didn't want to be there, as if they were just going through the motions. They were very non-responsive/nonreactive to my answers to their interview questions until I explicitly asked for feedback toward the end of the interview. I specifically asked how I stack up against other candidates, and a senior executive said point blank that I would be a good diversity hire (I'm a black woman). Long application/interview process (1 month between each step: application > first interview > second interview), with very poor communication/ghosting from both the HR rep and the hiring manager between steps. At the end of the day, I was able to learn more about the role and it prepped me to interview for similar roles at other companies. So that's a silver lining :)

Highly recommend this academic institution Great classes. Pace is fast but I will meet my academic goals much faster than semester system. Professors have been supportive, knowledgeable, and professional. It can be challenging working full-time but with proper time- management, it is doable.

Waste of my time The only reason they even get a single star is because the professors are amazing. Education wise, all great. On-boarding, financing, admissions, all non-existent. I put in 10 calls to maybe get one returned a week later. Do more then take my money or don’t claim yourself service or concierge because the staff is neither! -10 experience. In the 8 weeks i gave them to onboard, the last 2 i shared with Cal State…which had me set up in 2 afternoons.

Working Adult Master’s in Engineering Management As a busy working adult, I decided to finish my master’s degree here. The program was flexible to my schedule and I felt that I got a lot out of it. All of the assignments centered around working as a team for my program, Engineering Management. The only suggestion I can make is to have a stronger alumni network for job placement. Lucky for me, I was able to leverage my degree for a significant salary increase with another company.
