As a part of our Mental Health Task… As a part of our Mental Health Task Force, I had the privilege of receiving training on autism from Blue Ridge LLC. This was one of the most impactful, informative training classes I have ever attended. I would highly recommend anyone, first responders and otherwise, to seek this training and information. It could be life-altering when working with a special needs individual or family. A 5 star experience, for sure.

How Do We Move Forward I learned a lot I really didn't realize what has to be Specially taught that we take for granted. How we are able to communicate with these children not only as a child but into adulthood. It has got to be hard and frustrating to a parent, guardian, family member to look into their eyes and you know it's there but it's not coming out like it usually does. So how do you address it day after day.

Great training! Captain Turning made this information accessible and understandable and drove home the point that it is absolutely critical. Great examples and videos of real-life situations. All first responders need this information, especially because it is not just lumped in with training on mental health issues and drug use. Autism is common and unique and deserves its own category. This is what Captain Turning has done. Bravo!

Amazing class An amazing class for all first responders, but especially EMS!! Gerald's passion was great and he taught clearly how we can have empathy with our patients and parents. He gave us simple tools that will truly help us in serving our community better. It was a true honor to sit through his class and look forward to utilizing what he taught us.
