VNNice mentors The mentors were helpful and caring. They walked me through all the problems while I was doing my work. However, to any future high school student planning to enrol in this course, it is noteworthy that AI or machine learning is not what one with no prior experience can understand thoroughly within 2 weeks. You would probably need a bunch of mathematical prerequisites just to understand the codes. Anyways, the mentors did a great job enabling a rising senior like me to get a general grasp of AI and how they work.

GBLearning AI with Veritas I enjoyed this experience because it was a good introduction to AI and specifically neural networks. Neural networks are complicated but this program does a good job of breaking down the fundamentals in each session. They use diagrams and examples to explain how neural networks work. But in my opinion the most interesting part is the code review, where you actually learn to apply what you've learned in Python code.

ZMI appreciate that my tutor. I appreciate that my tutor is patient and loves explaining concepts. I had a hard time grasping the work in the beginning, but she made it very easy for me. It would be helpful if there were programs like Veritas for other fields of study as well. Another exciting thing about this program is that opportunities like the Ladder internship are shared with the Veritas students.

INOne of the best courses I’ve ever taken The instructors are very knowledgable and helpful, I entered this course without any prior background in AI or ML, but they helped me along the way, as did my classmates. Now that I've finished the course, I feel sufficiently prepared to pursue further study of AI and ML.

GBVeritas AI Summer Camp Review It was hard to learn things virtually. I feel like the content was hard to understand because the mentors/teachers never really explained things thoroughly. The content was hard as well as the coding part of the summer camp. I think the mentors should have explained each code assignment in further detail. Instead of the teacher going over the code with us, our mentor asked us to share our screen and present the code ourselves. However, I feel this was not effective because sometimes the students did not explain what they did and WHY they did it. I think the teacher/mentor should be explaining it to us instead of the students trying to explain it to us. I understand the need for participation, especially because it was online, but I didn't appreciate the fact that I kept getting cold called on. Furthermore, I think the end project was a great idea, but I felt that I didn't have the tools I needed to be able to help my group. I liked that we had breaks so that we weren't working for a prolonged period of time. And I think all the staff were very nice and making the best out of the online situation.
