GBI would not suggest this course The problem is the marketing of this company encourages you to pay extra to extend the course by having your child lag behind. There is a free 7 day extension offered, but it will not be enough to finish. Although the writing process is good, the 8 week schedule puts pressure on the student to make them think they are behind. Keep in mind, regardless of the learning level, the child is not allowed to progress without receiving feedback from the teacher. With just a few days to completion, they won't be able to finish. Student course completion brings satisfaction, praise and encouragement. Unless you make a big complaint, you will pay quite a bit for a course the child never completed.

GBClass was helpful I wish there was a way the student could chat in real time when he had a question. Otherwise, incorrect work may get submitted that causes a delay in moving forward. It took a while to get familiar with the layout of the program and tools. The next course should move along smoothly. I liked that the class could be extended for one week for free. I recommend this program and will enroll my middle schooler in the next writing course.

DESupplemental Education Due to the pandemic, I had concerns about my daughter's academic progress. Time4Writing has been a great supplement to her education. I highly recommend it.

GBMy daughter completed two courses last… My daughter completed two courses last year (7-8th grade). One course during the last school term and another to study during the summer. She was very excited about her course work, teacher interaction, and feedback. Her takeaway was enhanced writing skills, and a stronger desire to express herself in writing, which has led to her writing the draft for a book. This year she is enrolling in another course for the summer. We have had an excellent experience with the Time4Writing courses and teachers. My student was ready to learn how and about writing.

GBCourse Structured Improperly Everything seem good except for one thing which really impacted us: the cause progression is tightly controlled on a 24-hour cycle between what a student does and the feedback from his or her teacher, so the student really can't do anything before the feedback is received. My son wasted a lot of time every day waiting for the cause on the web to open up so that he could proceed in the course. Really not a good way to structure a course! Unless this issue get fixed, we don't plan to take any course again.
