She is encouraging and although we use a workbook, she goes off script to help me understand things I struggle with and she helps me practice things I want to work on! Sometimes we have a bad internet connection and she is patient, calling me back numerous times if necessary. (Poor connections are always on my end!) She is kind and we sometimes talk about culture and cultural differences!

Great tutor Great selection of languages I have completed 4 or 5 lessons in Dutch. I have been booking every Thursday at 11 am. My tutor is wonderful, and I hoped to continue working with her. I found that no more lessons were available at the time I could attend. I feel very sad to lose my instructor. I now signed up for a different instructor. Continuity is important to me so I will request some way to sign up for multiple lessons so that we can keep the same instructor. Otherwise, everybody, make SURE you sign up well in advance or talk to your instructor about your desire to book regular lessons.

Why keep paying this predatory system Why keep paying this predatory system? It's a rip off. Once you're introduced to your teacher ditch them and pay your tutor directly. VP takes a huge cut for nothing more than introducing you to each other.

They don’t approve your profile just because they don’t want more teachers. It’s been 4 days since I’m trying to approve my teacher profile and they keep reject me. They NEVER answered me once telling me why. I’ve added a new profile pic, my experiences, my education, Skype account..still nothing. They just don’t want more teachers and they don’t tell you.

I took a chance and I’m glad I did. After 9 months with another company that was disappointing, I found Verbal Planet and took a chance with a free lesson. I am so glad I did. Excellent professional service with no hassle. Quick and efficient when rescheduling meeting times if needed. Just enough gentle reminders to aid the clients. And professor choices are impressive!
