My teacher is kind and personable My teacher is kind and personable. She is always there on time. She is encouraging and although we use a workbook, she goes off script to help me understand things I struggle with and she helps me practice things I want to work on! Sometimes we have a bad internet connection and she is patient, calling me back numerous times if necessary. (Poor connections are always on my end!) She is kind and we sometimes talk about culture and cultural differences!

An excellent teacher and an excellent service My instructor on Verbal planet has helped me immensely. I have been studying Italian for years but have made more progress in the last year with my tutor than ever before. She encourages and challenges me. My progress with Italian has inspired me to start learning French which I am comprehending easily because of my Italian studies. I'm also a fan of Verbal Planet because they don't price gouge. I previously worked with another service who charged too much and kept most of the fees for themselves with less than half going to the actual tutor.

Milagros Milagros, is a patient talented language instructor. She is patient with us as we work on the correct pronunciation. And she is quite skillful as we construct sentences with proper conjugations. She has given us many colorful handouts that really help us understand emotions and how to build a sentence. My wife and I are taking the lessons together and have enjoyed spending time practicing vocabulary and some writing between lessons. Today I met with a contractor who was speaking Spanish to her crew and was able to understand a lot more of what she said. We are really enjoying working with Milagros!!

Fantastic teacher! I can't recommend Verbalplanet -- and my teacher specifically -- highly enough. Language is meant to be spoken and you can only learn so much from a book, language apps, etc. Live instruction is the only way to prepare for the give and take of actual conversations -- especially if you plan to use your new language when you travel! Verbalplanet provides a user-friendly platform, and you book your lessons in your own time zone, so there's no confusion about when your lesson will be. Reasonable prices, too! Great tutor Great selection of languages I have completed 4 or 5 lessons in Dutch. I have been booking every Thursday at 11 am. My tutor is wonderful, and I hoped to continue working with her. I found that no more lessons were available at the time I could attend. I feel very sad to lose my instructor. I now signed up for a different instructor. Continuity is important to me so I will request some way to sign up for multiple lessons so that we can keep the same instructor. Otherwise, everybody, make SURE you sign up well in advance or talk to your instructor about your desire to book regular lessons.
