She is encouraging and although we use a workbook, she goes off script to help me understand things I struggle with and she helps me practice things I want to work on! Sometimes we have a bad internet connection and she is patient, calling me back numerous times if necessary. (Poor connections are always on my end!) She is kind and we sometimes talk about culture and cultural differences!

A great platform for learning a language If you are interested in learning a new language with a native speaker, Verbal Planet is a great choice. I find the platform easy to use, for vetting and selecting a language teacher, scheduling sessions and managing payments. Working with a native speaker is much more productive than using apps. The average cost for instruction is very reasonable.

Fantastic teacher! I can't recommend Verbalplanet -- and my teacher specifically -- highly enough. Language is meant to be spoken and you can only learn so much from a book, language apps, etc. Live instruction is the only way to prepare for the give and take of actual conversations -- especially if you plan to use your new language when you travel!
