A step-change in learning German! I studied German in high school and have tried picking it up on and off again over the last twenty years without much success - until now. For the first time, I have started to understand the rules behind the grammar, instead of just trying to memorise set combinations. I’ve loved this course and feel really like it’s been a step-change in my learning. I don‘t know why it isn‘t taught this way all the time!

Takes the guesswork out of German I‘m so pleased to have found German With Laura because Laura lays the grammar foundations and fills the grammar holes that I have experienced with Duolingo. I started learning German online as an adult simply for brain training but found quickly that a grammar course was necessary in order to elevate my language learning from merely rote learning on an app to a working understanding of the nuts and bolts of basic German sentences. Laura‘s German Foundation 1 really delivers this in clear bite sized lessons. The more Laura lessons I take, the less I‘m just guessing on that pesky app. I can whole heartedly recommend German with Laura. I‘m certainly thinking about taking the next course German Foundations 2 next.

The course has been helpful… Four stars because I have not yet finished the course. I would say it is a helpful course and better than trying to hobble together the information from different sources. Very good helping with basic gramme as unlike Europeans the UK education system (or the bit that taught me) ignored grammar. Try the free courses Laura does and if you like her style - I did - go for it. But remember there is no magic bullet

Charismatic and Original Her system really unlocks German grammar and does it with grace! Simplifies the complex and systematise the random! I started German foundations 1 and… I started German foundations 1 and finished with a wealth of knowledge. Now taking German Foundations 2, and wow is it so worth it. The teaching style is really second to none. Laura is such an awesome teacher. I would recommend these course to anyone wanting to start this journey, its simple to get started, and the course literature is even free for downloading, or they offer all the books at a ridiculous low price. The support that is given is so wonderful, it makes you feel like your learning with a family.
