The course has been helpful… Four stars because I have not yet finished the course. I would say it is a helpful course and better than trying to hobble together the information from different sources. Very good helping with basic gramme as unlike Europeans the UK education system (or the bit that taught me) ignored grammar. Try the free courses Laura does and if you like her style - I did - go for it. But remember there is no magic bullet

A step-change in learning German! I studied German in high school and have tried picking it up on and off again over the last twenty years without much success - until now. For the first time, I have started to understand the rules behind the grammar, instead of just trying to memorise set combinations. I’ve loved this course and feel really like it’s been a step-change in my learning. I don‘t know why it isn‘t taught this way all the time!

Laura’s teaching techniques are first class I have struggled with German grammar for a while and Laura explains complicated principles in way that makes sense. Essential to learning the German language Two years into German on Duolingo, I've learned a lot but am constantly aware of the need to understand German grammar. You can get through Duolingo without understanding the rules of a language but you will be severely limited in your ability to understand and speak the language. German with Laura provides that missing, vital element in a clear, logical, easy to follow manner. I'm a bit more than 25% o the way through her German Foundations 1 course and it is proving to be well worth the price. Laura is an excellent teacher and the course is very well designed and presented.
