Highly Recommend Yoruba for Beginners! I would absolutely recommend the Yoruba for Beginners course! I have tried to learn using apps like Yoruba+ and Speak Yoruba, but I have not made much progress. I have only taken four lessons so far, but I have already learned so much! Ore has been amazing at breaking things down and helping me understand the language and improve my pronunciation. I also like that he includes information about Yoruba culture and how it impacts the language. Adding in those examples helps keep the lessons interesting and engaging. After a year and a half of doing almost everything on Zoom, I was hesitant to take an online class. However, the lessons are so engaging that I sometimes forget that I am even on my computer!

Trial lecture was also helpful to test one-on-one format. Started with a 6-pack course due to scheduling concerns, but will definitely complete the beginner journey. Lessons can be tailored to your interests and learning speed, material is clear, easy to read, and available later for review, tutor has a flexible schedule and keeps a closed loop communication, and platform is convenient for any arrangements you may need to make. I am particularly inclined to learn about how language helps shaping culture and am enjoying the uniqueness of everything Yoruba-related. Hoping to visit Nigeria soon and practice what I'm learning!
