Truly a bad experience with Berlitz… Truly a bad experience with Berlitz Flex. Video courses are repetitive and terminally slow, with not enough focus on grammar or actual conversation. The amount of time they give for you to cancel is not sufficient as a new learner- only a few days. By the time you realize how utterly useless and glitchy the program is, they have you locked into a contract that they will not release you from. Avoid at all costs.

Potential Teachers are Being Trained Poorly The hiring team is nice, but then the teacher training is awful. Long, rigid, authoritarian, unpaid and packed with tests and also many demo lessons online in front of trainers and other students where they keep telling you over and over that you may fail and have to redo some other day if you deviate from the exact way they want you to teach.

Spelling / Sie / Sie / sie issues... multiple errors noted. The teaching style doesn't meet the errors of different types of learners There is no ability to self guide / re-read the book since it isn't set up as a text-book. "Just Listen and repeat and osmosis learning" isn't how all adults learn. No english and no explanations... which means for learners who process and what to re-engage the materials it is impossible Instructors handbook is different than mine which means we aren't on the same page and get easily confused.

The cyber program is very glitchy The cyber program is very glitchy. I only received 1 of my post-live lesson reviews, and the others I guess are floating around somewhere? Not in spam or junk. The drag and drop feature, required for some of my program lessons stopped working. I reported it and no one responded to my complaint. Teachers are pleasant, but it's hard when you are a beginner and the instructor does not speak your native language, so you can't answer questions.

German online class - LIES German omline class, for which I paid $1800 and signed a contract for a start date 7 Feb 2023, got postponed by 4 weeks; notice was then given that today, 14 March, is the offical start date and that my course starts at 8pm. In the student portal, the instructor was changed last minute (three hours before course start), and now the assigned instructor has not shown up and we are 18 minutes into a 60-min session. Scam and waste of money! I am in the US (Virginia), not in Hungary, as listed. Also, NL is a racist.
