BIRGER
GBPotential Teachers are Being Trained Poorly The hiring team is nice, but then the teacher training is awful. Long, rigid, authoritarian, unpaid and packed with tests and also many demo lessons online in front of trainers and other students where they keep telling you over and over that you may fail and have to redo some other day if you deviate from the exact way they want you to teach.

GBtruly worth the money truly worth the money. i've improved dramatically over the course and am enrolling in another. I've tried lots of different language learning methods, but this is the closest I've found to full immersion online. Berlitz works with you to help you find a teacher you love, the course material is effective, and I've jumped from A1 to B1 over the course of French 2 (with some supplementary work on dictation and reading). Highly recommend.

GBRegret the Purchase Honestly, I hate the program. I paid too much for what I am getting. It is very business-centric. It does not do a great job of teaching or reinforcing learning. There is a short intro, but again, very business-centric (not generally applicable for other purposes) I would NOT RECOMMEND.

GBRussian Language 100hrs I completed a 100-hour Russian language course with an "in-person" tutor which took place over Skype. Due to my busy schedule, I was only able to conduct lessons Tues-Wed for two hours at a time. The individual lessons were effective, and they included speaking, reading, and listening. There were very few instances in which English was spoken. The lessons were not only catered towards the DLPT because that was not the overall goal. The overall goal was to improve my speaking ability and vocabulary into new topics, and that goal was met. I highly recommend Berlitz.

GBin general I am very pleased with Berlitz. The continued difficulty for both me and my instructor Alma to join the lesson is very frustrating for both of us. We are resorting to Skyp in general I am very pleased with Berlitz, especially my instructors. I am bothered, though, by the audio portion of the lessons. One of my instructors (I can't remember which one) agreed that the audio is much too fast for a student/learner to follow. She said that even she had trouble keeping up with them. Please have the imaginary speakers in the audo portions slow down! i appreciate Berlitz's willingness to design a curriculum more in line with what I am interested in learning about. Special kudos to Nancy Sorial, Melissa Kovacevic and the rest of the team that handles my account!
