Not just another health coach … When it comes to food, if you’ve ever thought to yourself, “Why don’t I have the willpower?” or “I know what to do, why can’t I just follow through and stick with it?”, you’re definitely not alone. I know, I was there. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve shamed myself into feeling guilty for not “eating the way I should”. I was thinking about food and what I “should” or “shouldn’t” be doing with it constantly. This mentality isn’t healthy for anyone. I knew it wasn’t healthy, and was finally ready to do something about it. Not only this, but I also wanted to break free from acid reflux and dependence on anti-anxiety medication. I had been taking a Proton Pump Inhibitor (PPI) daily for the better part of 10 years, and was worried about the long-term effects. I searched Facebook for something like “healthy eating program” or “health coach” and came across Kim’s Facebook group. I joined, but was just a “lurker” for a while. I kept loving what she had to say and jumped on the chance to join an 8 week group program coupled with individual 1 on 1 coaching. Kim helped me to understand that the work to be done wasn’t about food at all. It was more about addressing my fear of failure, perfectionism, self-criticism, and suppression of feelings. She helped me get to the root of underlying feelings and meet them where they were. Through deeply personal conversations with Kim, we decided it was a good idea for me to start seeing a therapist. I am not ashamed to admit this. Right or wrong, I basically “lost” my mother through adandonment when I was 5 years old. Through therapy, I’m learning that part of the reason why I have difficulty experiencing sadness and expressing how I feel is because I’ve been repressing and avoiding these kinds of feelings since I was a little girl. I am thrilled to say that with a bit of experimentation mid-way into the program, I am no longer taking an anti-anxiety medication and have been free of acid reflux without taking a PPI for nearly 6 months! We discovered that I have issues with low stomach acid, gluten sensitivity, and lactose intolerance. I had no idea that those things could contribute to acid reflux! Weaning off of a PPI is not something to be taken lightly, and it’s best to also have discussions with your health care provider. I had tried weaning off a few times before by myself in the past few years, but heartburn would always return. This work is deeply personal, uncomfortable, and not always easy. It won’t happen overnight. It will definitely help you grow by learning to love yourself, embrace your vulnerability, and know when to give yourself grace. I am far from perfect, though, and didn’t always follow the program that way that “I think I should have”. It’s a journey and an investment in yourself. Keep moving forward, you’re worth it!

Lasting life-change! When I found Kim on a Facebook advertisement I had my doubts that this program could really do anything more for me than the countless diets I had tried in the past. I was so wrong! I have been blown away every step of the journey and I am experiencing the biggest year of emotional and physical growth of my life! This program will help you tackle healthy eating, but it also takes you way beyond that! Kim will show you how to get at the why behind your emotional eating and what to do about it. It is some deep, heavy emotional work but it is real and will bring real and lasting change if you’re willing to dive in! Kim will provide you with amazing support during the 8 weeks! She breaks everything down and has the resources beautifully laid out for you to access whenever you need them. The best part is that this isn’t a one-and-done program. You are invited in to a supportive community and you get to have ongoing, monthly training calls as well as access to our community page to continue encouraging one another. If you are able, I hope that you’ll do this for yourself!

Compassionate and Empowering Coaching by Kim Scheid Kim Scheid is an exceptional coach with a compassionate, empowering, thoughtful, well-informed, balanced, and practical approach to health, wholeness, and healing. Finding her as a coach was exactly what I needed, and it is a testament to her guidance and program as well as to my investment in the process that I have experienced significant shifts in my life, my daily routine and my mindset. And I can say now that this ongoing, lasting change did not drop off after the program "ended." It is amazing to finally be out of the loop of discouragement, disappointment, and drudgery of trying to generate enough willpower and self-discipline. I know myself in a new way now, and how to be my own advocate and coach. When faced with obstacles to my health, I know how to move forward in hope and empowerment. I learned that I am not my own enemy. Now, I am well-equipped and experiencing a freedom that I had never thought possible. I don't just feel good in my clothes - I feel good in my body - and this investment in myself is for the rest of my life. I am finally freed up to focus more on other people without it being at the expense of my own well-being, and that is a gift to my whole family. Kim equips her clients - she isn't about making us dependent on her - she connects us with each other for mutual support and helps us learn to be our own biggest cheerleaders (no small task!)! Kim asks the questions and gives us tools that help us to uncover what we had no idea was there! Thank you, Kim, for believing in me and for challenging me to know that I was worth this! Free to thrive without numbers! This was one of the best decisions of my life. I learned so much and have improved my life in ways I can’t even begin to quantify. I will continue to recommend this to everyone who is frustrated with their health, body image, mind self and self care. Freedom From Dieting I’ve been working with Kim and Escape Diets for 5 months now. People ask me if it has been worth the money. My reply is yes! With a few shifts in my eating I no longer had cravings, no longer was grazing and snacking aimlessly and not constantly perseverating on food. Focusing on nourishing your body, it was freeing not wondering what I could eat, what was “good” or “bad” food. My body knew. I actually craved yummy smoothies and salads. I was thrilled that fruit wasn’t forbidden. The key was getting out of your mind and into your body. Kim teaches you the strategies of embodiment and if you don’t know what that means, you will learn that too! My psyche feels so much lighter after our sessions. For that Kim I’m grateful. I have the tools now to continue this journey. So if transforming your relationship with food is something you are searching so that you can enjoy living you life, then yes! Escape Diets is sooo worth it!!
