Convenient and Economical Yearly Fees. Data a bit expensive though. The SIM card could be delivered to anywhere in the world which was very convenient for me since my flight would arrive before the collection counter opens at the Japan airport. Being able to only pay for the months that you use is excellent too. The only drawback is that the data rates are quite expensive compared to data only SIM cards, but I needed a Japanese phone number for work so this was just what I needed.

You only need to pay maintenance fee less than $10/year, and if you use the calls and text you pay the amount corresponding to it.
