GBI have spent 10 years working with… I have spent 10 years working with company. The software is horrible. They sold me on their latest version the 2023 application because the other version kept crashing. What a waste of money and time! Camtasia crashed 15 times and I can’t open the project. They couldn’t restore it. I wasted months getting this done. I’ve spent 24 hours working on this (only getting 3 hours of sleep) only for the new version that I just paid for to crash yet again and now I am out of weeks worth in of content. I should have stuck with Premier Pro! Do not use this company unless you want to lose important information, especially if you are a business.

CLBad License/Keys/Install System Trying to do my duty because I use reviews often. The software itself is not bad but installing it and managing the license keys and maintenance is horrible. My advice is to stay away from all products offered by TechSmith.

GBUnstable software As a QA tester, I have used the overpriced Snagit video recorder for over a year on a daily basis. The software is unstable, random crashes, and more recently incompatibility issues with high-end PCs blocking me from recording simple videos. With each updated they f….k something up. I need fast and stable screen recording software without any fuss!. We will be ditching this software and the supplier. There are alternative solutions that do a better job.

AUI can't live without SnagIt I can't live without SnagIt, it's almost in constant use and have been buying the latest and greatest versions for over 3 years now. When version 2019 came out, I upgraded and it kept crashing, but Techsmith's wonderful support team leapt into action and sorted it out quick smart. What more do you want from a software company?

CAI've been a Snagit customer for years I've been a Snagit customer for years; it is a great alternative to more expensive products (like Adobe) if you don't have heavy graphics demands. I primarily take screenshots and draw system architecture diagrams for tech docs, so I'm not doing intensive photo editing by any means. Never crashed. I've used Camtasia for the past two years. It does seem a little buggy - I get a wierd black screen randomly when I clip video segments, and the file size it produces seem unnecessarily large. Also, the media directory isn't relative to the project, so if you move a project around you have to relink all your media. But I would still recommend it as a product for video production - again, not a power user by any means. Customer support is just fine - sometimes they can help, and sometimes they cant!
