Not useful in middle east Don't think about it if you want to use it to bypass internet filtering. I buy nordvpn to use it when I travel to countries with restrictions, especially middle-eastern ones. It simply doesn't work. I don't think their service is designed for such purposes, since you can find free VPNs on app store that work with great speed. The exact experience is: You try 20-30 different servers, none of them work (the auto select mode doesn't work). Once in a blue moon, one server might work, but the speed reminds you of the time that GPRS was king. You might think it's generally internet speed issue, but I used a random free service, and I could get decent speeds around 40Mbps. I created a ticket and they gave me address of several servers. After trying them for around an hour, none works. I want to warn people who are travelling, hoping nordVPN to work: be more prepared.

One thing I do not like very much is, that your Threat Protection is blocking too much quite normal and unsuspicious (in my opinion), often used websites. For instance: Even your own website "How to write a useful review"! Nevertheless: I´m content with NordVPN!

I recently travelled to Singapore and… I recently travelled to Singapore and was unable to access a few Australian sites using my Nordvpn account. I have encountered the same issues in South Korea and Japan. Don't even get me started on trying to access sites when in China.

Mixed experience - Good on my Tablet, fustrating on my Laptop I've been using NordVPN for about a week. My experience is mixed. On the positive side: 1. it is very competitively priced. I got a 28 month deal for $4 a month 2. It works reasonably well on my Samsung Tablet On the negative side: Connecting using the NordVPN App on my laptop is simply not user friendly or intuitive. This morning I struggled for 5 minutes to connect. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Update: From my son (who has a computer science degree) - "the desktop app is rubbish"

I have no problem with Nord OTHER than… I have no problem with Nord OTHER than it's constantly trying to connect to your server. I need it connected to the company server. With it connected to the Nord server I can't do anything and what I can do is SO slow. I have disconnected it now and connect to my server. Please don't automatically connect it to Nord.
