GBI Chose Stability over Better Programming I chose Quicken over Microsoft Money more than twenty years ago. I used it with windows programming up until the middle of 2020 when I switched to iOS. The windows programming was easier and more user friendly. I wish the iOS programming was better especially with dates in reports. Although iOS is more stable than windows.

GBInflation alive and well at Quicken. First of all, I was shocked to see how much the price had increased over the past three years. I've been a Quicken user for dozens of years, and now I'm going to have to find an alternative product that I can afford. Secondly, the software has become less useful. I can only make automatic daily downloads from about half of my accounts at my financial institutions, which forces me to make numerous daily manual downloads of data to keep my account status current. The reason I subscribe now is the convenience of daily downloads of my financial transactions, and your company has forced me to RENT the software at an exorbitant rate. I won't be a Quicken customer much longer. Much of the functionality of the product no longer exists.

GBMakes reconciling checking account easy I'm kind of OCD about making my checkbook match the balance my bank shows. I download transactions from my bank every day and it is really easy to do. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because since the last update, the memo field auto populates to the last transaction entered. This is the field where I entered notes about payments made, such as credit cards, which aren't always the same.
Must be fixed
GBThere is a system error for Fidelity… There is a system error for Fidelity Investments where the cash value doubles automatically. This has been addressed numerous times on the help information yet nothing is done. It is a Quicken problem because it happens without downloads. For the amount of money that is paid, this needs to be fixed ASAP.

GBA big negative is the problems my… A big negative is the problems my financial institution has every year (for several years now) when transactions can't be downloaded using Quicken Update. My credit union seems to hit a point where this is a problem that drags on for weeks and sometimes months. It's a huge waste of time and very frustrating trying to get an explanation. Neither Quicken nor the credit union provides an explanation for this problem. For this reason, I'd be leery of recommending doing business with either party for a new customer.
