About Digital Blasphemy

Ryan Bliss discovered his visual art talent when he received his first computer in 1995. Previously he had always wanted to be a writer and hadn’t studied visual arts in school. He has degrees in English and Computer Science from the University of Iowa. The 3D tools which were just becoming available to the public in the mid-90s opened a whole new world of creative expression for Ryan. His chosen medium has always been "desktop wallpaper". His work is designed from the ground-up to both draw the eye from across the room and stand up to close inspection. He started his web gallery, "Digital Blasphemy", in 1997 and it has been his full-time job since 1999. He currently has over 1000 images available on his site available for Members as well as a collection of free wallpapers for visitors. Ryan currently lives in Illinois with his wife Jessica and two sons Ian and Jason.

Absolutely horrible customer service… Absolutely horrible customer service with logins. You shouldn't have to pay 25 dollars for a membership and then lose said membership. It's a real shame because ive been using the free ones since 2006.

I have used Ryan's wallpaper for longer… I have used Ryan's wallpaper for longer than I can recall it would not be the same without a new view every couple of weeks, Automatically changes every 10 minutes ramdomly so I never know what is coming, Thanks Ryan :

Beautiful digital artwork I've been a fan of DB since 2003 and a member for over a decade. The artwork is beautiful and with a membership you can download a resolution for practically any screen. Ryan has a great imagination and a lot of his art is a beautiful fusion of the natural world with otherworldly elements that make me feel like I've gone to another planet. I have DB on all my computers, plus my phone, and friends always comment on how cool the backgrounds are. There is some free art available, but I'd recommend the membership because it allows you access to the whole archive. My only criticism is that the website is outdated and a bit difficult to navigate, but it's easy to find the latest artwork.

The leader in digital artistry. The original and the best. I've been a member of Ryan's website for more than ten years. You sometimes forget his work is entirely digital. People who don't know his work often comment that is a great photo and are astounded that it's not real. His abstract work is outstanding but his scenery work is truly out of this world.

Infinite Imagination Nothing to loose, a world of visual imagination to gain. No annoying ads or marketing, I signed up for lifetime membership years back, and then recently added annual support to that, absolutely worth it if it helps to keep new renders going. Excellent work.
