About American Massage Therapy Association

The American Massage Therapy Association is the largest non-profit, professional association serving massage therapists, massage students and massage schools. We are guided by a volunteer national Board of Directors who sets the course for the association. As a member-driven organization, we are constantly in conversation with our members through surveys, phone calls, emails and social media to understand the diverse needs of all of our members and their hopes for the profession. We advocate for the issues important to massage therapists across the country at the federal, state and local levels of government. We promote the health benefits of massage to the public, the health care community and other important groups. AMTA provides its members with the strongest benefits in the massage therapy profession and has been serving our community for over 75 years.

Great service and easy to follow… Great service and easy to follow instructions. The staff were very helpful to answer all my inquiries and very professional. I love that AMTA includes Dual Certification I. e. Yoga Instructors. It saves me money and I am able to provide more services to my clients. Joining AMTA has a lot of benefits and the practice doesn't just limit me to massages. Looking forward to discover the rest of my benefits along the way...

You can't go wrong- AMTA is a must for me as an LMT. Important notifications happen in a timely manner, & my fav. thing is having continuing education available at my convenience and everything is in user friendly order as needed. Insurance is taken care of, & my 2nd fav. part...discounts through massage warehouse!!!

Best AMTA WA conference so far The venue & food were fantastic! Bummer that the pool and hot tub were closed. Signage directing people where to go for table storage, check-in etc could have been better (start at hotel lobby). The vendor hall was underutilized as usual. Also, the schedules should have been proofread so that people weren't showing up for the non-existent breakfast on Sunday that was on our schedules. That being said, it was the best AMTA WA conference I've attended. All of my classes were great, and the wellness classes on Sunday were a real treat!

Stupendous! AMTA is one of the most reliable massage therapy associations you will find in the field of healthcare for massage therapy! Five stars, they are very professional providing quality customer care and handling issues over the phone, etc. I will always be an AMTA member for my career and life as an LMT! Thank you AMTA for everything you do and all the extra miles you go for each and every member of your association! Diana Summers, LMT TN AMTA Chapter

AMTA affordability As an LMT I had to overcome many obstacles at the beginning as well as surviving this pandemic. With that being said, my finances are not that great but, bills, license recertification, gas, etc. life still goes on. AMTA has been pivotal in me continuing my education classes on line at no expense to me! Thank you AMTA
