GBWhy you should purchase this app If you don’t mind being responded to by a computer bot most of the time, then spend the $74 a year for this app. If you don’t mind receiving text messages (6-10 of them) to your iPhone that are not in order, spend the $74 a year for this app. If you don’t mind the lack of responsibility taken for poor communication within the app, spend the $74 a year.

GBI've cut my drinking in half I have not gone a day without alcohol in years. The thought of not having my nightly wine or going out to eat without a fancy cocktail leaves me feeling anxious and dreadful. The very first week I went 3 days without alcohol, one of those days I even went to a restaurant and ordered tea instead. I am a person who prides myself in discipline in all other areas of my life but I have convinced myself that I need alcohol to relax and to be social. Sunnyside has helped me create goals and keeps me motivated to achieve them.

GBReally well-thought out product Really well-thought out text-based tracking and coaching system. Helps set goals, track progress, and encourage sticking to a plan. The text-first approach makes it feel like you’re working with a live coach rather than just entering data in a form. It’s an ongoing conversation rather than an app to check every day.

CAWithout the app I would have never gotten to where I am now I used the app for a little over a year. At first I was good at setting and meeting targets but as time went on, I began to set goals that allowed me to drink more. However the tracking didn't lie (as long as I didn't). After 14 months with the app, I quit drinking completely and have never felt better. The app and the support from the Sunnyside team behind it was a critical part of my journey to full sobriety. Thank-you Sunnyside team

GBOther better, free, options out there This is a good starting place for those who have never tracked drinks before, but there are other much better options out there, and they are FREE. I've used Moderation Management's Abstar online before, and then AlcoDroid app on my Android phone. MM's Abstar has a forum you can also join which is full of real time support, not bots. Both MM and Alcodroid count half drinks, and take into consideration 'one wine' is not a great tool of counting. A 14.5% cab at 6 oz is 1.5 standard drinks for example. Anyway, like I said, a good starting point, but no real 'coaching' and less detailed accoutability. I will not be going past the trial period. I see no benefits that would be worth paying for above the other methods I've already used.
