Instead of getting a painted illustration they are producing me an original impressionist style painting. I am always pleased with the results and love the painting that I am slowly adding to my collection!

The departure of the NY 7th at the… The departure of the NY 7th at the beginning of the Civil War was originally painted by Thomas Nast. I couldn't find a reproduction so I commissioned nice art gallery to paint my very own version to hang in my 1870 living room. The canvas painting looks like I have the Nast original. The original is hanging in a museum in Saratoga. As far as I m concerned, I'm the only one besides the museum, to have a canvas oil based painting of this particular version of the departure of the NY 7th down Broadway on April 19, 1861. Priceless.
